For a child that young. A stuffed one. Especially if she acts even younger. Wait until she's at LEAST 10.

If she isn't going to act responsible you shouldn't get one.
My children have been around dogs since the day they came home from the hospital. My oldest is 6 and she knows how to handle our dogs, measure our dogs food, as well as groom our dogs. My 4 yr old is learning the grooming part, but has the rest down pat.
Then I have a 6 month old and he is being taught to be nice to the puppy and after about a month of reaching for the puppy and being told no and given a toy instead he no longer reaches for either of our dogs.
But if you insist on getting a dog you need to decide if you want a large dog, medium dog, or a small dog and then you need to decided just how much exercise you can give the dog. After you decide those then you can go on line www.dogbreedinfo.com this site has a whole list of dogs and you can click on the names and find out all about them.
I can honestly say that I've made a oops with a dog I got once! I got a beagle/min pin mix and she destroyed my yard because I couldn't give her enough exercise and attention.
Good Luck

Depends. You should take into consideration your lifestyle - how active you and your family are. Generalizing this, I would not get a small dog. Possibly a golden retriever or lab. Maybe you should wait a few years until she matures and knows the difference between right and wrong.

That all depends on the space you have for raising the dog. Young children who cannot care for animals don't need them as their own. The dog would need to be a family pet but you could call it hers knowing that you would have to take care of it. Labs and cockers make good family dogs but they like any dog need lots of care and time.

A family dog such as a lab, a golden retriever, or a cocker spaniel. However, you should talk to her before you get the dog. Make suer she knows pets aren't toys and how to treat them.

mini dachshunds ,cuz their really loyal to their owners, for example: when anybody pretends their trying to hurt anyone who lives in my house that person gets bit. plus their good watch dogs, for example:once when somebody tried to break into my house my dogs attacked that person, mean while the person across the street called the police, when the police got to my house the robber was trying to run away from my dogs but one of them bit the guy in the nuts.

and their great with kids, babies you name it

any dog that is a mixture with a poddle. Purebred poodles are a little hyper but when mixed with other dogs it is a great dog. Cock-a-poo's are really great with kids.
