Anyone who believes in a healer is being mislead. Every living person who claims to heal is a liar!?

Here is my reasoning: Until and unless one of these supposed "healers" restores an arm or leg or finger or ear or nose that has been torn away from another persons body, they are fake. They all do the same type charlatin, psychological minupliation, illusioinist stuff that David Blain or others can do. Wake up people! Give me a break!

I don't think it works like that. I am not much into people who claim they can lay hands upon you and heal. However, I do believe that part of healing comes from within yourself. Some people need to believe in the faith of healers. Healing comes in so many forms. To heal from losing a limb whould be acceptance and coping with your loss.

All healing is done by God. If you are in an accident and a doctor helps you he can only do so much, after that the rest is in God's hands. God expects us to use common sense and rely on medicine that he has given us. If you refuse a known treatment for a problem such as chemotherapy becuase it is strenuous to find some magic healing ability you are simply rejecting an opportunity God is giving you.

God could allow someone to heal in the way you speak, but why is it necessary if there are alternatives. Also, if God alone is the healer and there is no cure for an ailment, God would heal you if he so desired he would not see it necessary to use some mediator (such as with Hezekiah). The early church had healers (i.e. the apostles) to help establish the authority of Jesus. Once established faith and scripture alone with the Spirt were all that was needed.

If God gave someone the power to heal through Him, it would be a means for something greater most likely. For instance healing and then prophecy or healing and then preaching. God also has the abiltiy to take such gifts away, one's pride causes them to use such a gift for greed would be a reason.

Most so-called healers are probably fakes like you say. A real one would probably be obvious in an instant. Like you said restoring someone's ear like Jesus did with Malchus.

That is an interesting perspective from someone who has obviously not been healed before...I have been healed on three specific occasions when the minister spoke it out in a meeting or my friends prayed for me. My foot was run over by a car when I was 3 and at 35 I was having major problems walking because every bone in my foot was crushed when I was small. I prayed to Jesus for a few months because I could not walk to take care of my children or my home. After attending a church meeting, my foot was completely healed and I have not had any problems with it although doctors can not believe I am walking on it. I have seen other people healed of various ailments and some who were not healed. I don't have all the answers but know one of God's names is Jehovah Rapha - the one who heals! That is what Jesus came to do on this earth to show everyone about His Father - I am sure the lepers had things grow back. I have read about and heard many reports around the world of people being risen from the dead through prayer. Maybe you haven't looked in the right places...or don't want to?

The healing process starts from within and has nothing to do with the physical self, initially. That's what doctors are for. But, again, I say the healing must start from within. Disease is a product of genes, environment, and psychological health. If the health problem is related to the psyche (negativism, hatred, etc.) and true change occurs in that person's attitude, healing can occur.

But, yes, most of those seen on TV are charlatans.

In the Bible ,Jesus healed the sick and even raised the dead. In Paul's words, as beleivers, we are able to do anything He did on this earth and more. i seee ur piont !!! but do u beleave in the bible ...in god .....in hell and heaven and the war..between them ...if so ...then beleaving in healers is just the same in bleaving in all that stuff !!! no personaly i dont normally bleave in anything unless i see it in person but also u have to think ....when people say there healers ..it doesnt always mean they can heal the broken leg or arm they mite be able to heal the soul ..heal the mind !! it sepends on there definition ..not what defonition u think it is !!!

i am a healer, but no one can restore limbs. only existing diseased tissue can be healed. it is not psychological, i have healed the unconscious also. by the way, in some cases when i heal the terminally ill it doesnt always work, and i sometimes become somewhat sick myself... .. ... .. ...
