she is getting more hours than what the law allows, where can i find such laws like these online? she is in the Union by the way

FLSA restricts the hours that youth under 16 years of age can work and lists hazardous occupations too dangerous for young workers to perform.

Actually I think 16 year olds can work close to full time now but check the laws in the state you live in. I'm sure she isn't getting to many hours the union and the store won't let her. If hse works too many hours in a week it puts her at a different level and they have to pay her benefits, they will keep her at 32 hours a week part-time ya know no benefits. I have worked in a grocery store and my girlfriend is a assistant manager of a store

I had a friend like this in high school. He worked at a pizza place, and they would sometimes keep him there until 1 in the morning on school nights. He needed the money and really couldn't defy them for fear of losing his job. I really don't know how to help you, I'm sorry, but I'm impressed and empathetic with your concern.
