There are 3 main things to be able to join the Navy. 1- you have to be Mentally, which means you have to be able to pass the asvab with a minimum score of a 35 AFQT. 2- you have to be Morally, which means you have to have minimum police history. 3- you have to be physically fit, which means, cant have asthma, or some other type of physical conditions you have to remember the recruiters are not doctors we just have to relay all the documents to the doctors, We know what we can work with most of the time, With your condition what i would suggest show the recruiter that this is something that you always wanted to do then the recruiter will work with you a little bit more. Tell him all the medical problems. then the recruiter would have to do some investigation by getting all of the medical documents, then sending them to the M.E.P.S Doctors, then they will make the determination, if you can do there physical. after you pass everything then you pick your job and when you want to leave to go to boot-camp, swear in then you are in the USN.

keep in techniques also that MEPS is a authorities business organisation meaning they're actually incompetent. My son, raised in the militia and continuously dealt with by militia medical doctors, became clinically determined with mild scoliosis on a militia base, even as he went to MEPS they thoroughly ignored it.

depends on the degree of curvature. My Father enlisted, he had scoliosis, and did 30 plus years in the Navy and Air National Guard.

talk to a recruiter you may need a waiver but people get those all the time my old Sergent said that he has a soldier with asthma and one with turrets so its worth a try if that is what you want.
