The Christians seem to hung up on this idea that the world is going to be destroyed before the Second Coming. Do they actually care if they pollute the world and poison it without regard for the natural environment and those whom they hurt in doing so?

I'm a Christian, and I'm ashamed of how my fellow brothers and sisters treat one of God's best creations. We don't believe that the world will be deystroyed before the second coming. We just believe that during this period after te rapture, a lot of people will die and this world will be plagued by plague, warfare, and natural disaster. This is the period where Satan himself will rule the world.

No, we don't want the world destroyed.

The Bible contains prophecies of what will happen prior to the second coming of Jesus Christ.

Even though we say the world will be destroyed, we don't want it destroyed. I don't think anyone pollutes or releases chemicals into the atmosphere purposefully, except maybe an anti-christ.

Why are you targeting Christians as "wanting the world destroyed?" Al Gore is the one who started all this nonsense about how global warming is going to destroy the world in 10 years. He said that 5 years ago and this would be the tenth year, right?

I think environmentalists just want their part in making the world a better place, but I think they go too far in some areas.

Oh yeah, I don't pollute and I'm Christian.

Have a great day and God bless you.

You're saying Christians alone and no one else are responsible for pollution and destruction of this planet? Are you nuts?

You're either an Atheist, pagan or Muslim.., and of that not a very bright one.

God will destroy those who destroy the Earth. Its in the Bible - FYI.

Actually I don't know many Christians that assume the world will blow up before Jesus millennium reign. If there are any, they are not well versed in the New Testament or Old Testament (The Bible).

Your entire question shows you know very little about Christianity at all.

I’m not sure what you are getting at with this question, or where you get your information about what Christians believe, but I thought that Christians were supposed to be "good stewards", or caretakers, of all the things that God has "loaned" to us (like the Earth, our health, our life, our money, etc.), because we will have to give an explanation to him for how we have used or misused it. According to Genesis, Adam was created for the main purpose of tending and caring for the Garden of Eden, and the earliest examples of environmental regulations that I can think of are found in the Law of Moses, and there seem to be several New Testament passages that suggest the same.

After all, exploiting the environment, and leaving nothing for anyone else, is nothing but greed, which is a sin.

What? My parents were into Mother Earth News in the 70's and 80's, they are Baptists.

I am a Episcopalian, if I won the Lotto I would have a "green build" house. If I could find an organization to help me I would have my house converted to a green build home. But I am a freelance writer I barely have money to pay bills.

Would you like to sponsor converting my house?

I want the recycled glass counters that look like granite. A SynLawn to not use water in this 2 year drought. Double hung Low e windows. The heater/a/c that pushes air underground to heat or cool the air before using it in the house. New insulated siding and low water use washer and dry sensitive dryer.

MOST People have got it all Wrong.
The World refered to by everybody IS NOT THE EARTH.
The World that JESUS is going to Take Care Of, is satan and his Angel's (we call the Devil's). They have been killing, stealing and destroying HUMAN BEING's for a Long Time.
JESUS will Lock Them Up, and then there will be PEACE on the EARTH for 1000 Year's.
Now, there will be some destruction from the War's that will go on Right befor HE come's back, a Reap what you have Sown thing.
BUT the EARTH and alot of it's People's will not be destroyed.
The End of the Devil's is a good thing, it's just sad that the War's have to happen. Hope this help's. "JLU"

their elite the freemasons do ,they want to dominate the world ,have a new World Order, and reduce population by 60%
this can hardly be done by peaceful means,so a possible nuclear war is pending.
the Environment is the last thing that concerns them
and the ignorent masses of faithfull ,of the lowerpart of the piramid .Expect to go to their beautufill heaven ,so they also are not to worried what happens to the Earth and its creatures, that God made especially for them alone, since they wont have to be here any more
it is Us who are left with the disasters
we are the Pee Pees
the people of Pan
we care for our Planet
where ever we can
they beat us ,they robbed us

they rendered us weak
but we will be back
for we are the Meek

but the prospects of our inherritance dont look to good
a lot of destruction can be expected beforehand.

The world is not ever going to be destroyed. God is going to cleanse and "remodel" it. No, of course Christians don't want the world destroyed. Yes, Christians care about the natural environment.

Just because the world will be destroyed, soes not mean Christians want it to be destroyed. We are given the command to be good stewards of the world.

Genesis 2:15
The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.
