They are on the lookout for anything that might offend feminists, and also, PC stuff, racism, sexism. I have had answers removed that didn't contain any swear words. I am dead against censorship, but don't have a problem with removing obscene language.

Unfortunately, we now live in an international world that is divided by a common language or languages.
Many of the things people in America find insulting, we in the UK do not and vice versa.
For example as you point out B*T*H or *I*C* for those that want to overlay and remove the *s is a female dog in the UK, wheras "over the pond" it is a prostitute, or female of loose virtue.
Reversing it, "Fanny" in America is your backside or Butt whereas in the UK it is the other side of a female's anatomy to her gluteus maximus!
A cigarette in the UK is known as a "F*g" where the middle letter is an "a" (or a first-year student in a public school) whereas it is a homosexual in the USA.
So it's take your pick and don't insult the people who speak your language differently and let's agree to understand each other's language!

The reason is because Yahoo Answers is infected with the politically correct thought police - anyway you got round it in this question by doing what you did - B.I.T.C.H. - there's always a way round things - you just have to carry on thinking laterally like you obviously can. Course you can always use the other method and use the longwinded way to say something rude i.e. For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge - get my meaning ???? Happy Cursing !!!

I guess there is a list of unacceptable words, and cow isn't on it! I notice even questions about female dogs, when the use of the correct term would be quite acceptable, end up with asterisks in. Which reminds me, a friend of mine had an email with the word 'Arsenal' in it edited to '....nal'! That's what you get with computers!

well i dont know why because you can always make out what the stars mean any way, and people do find a way around this like putting spaces in betweet letters and commers etc also by sayin b i t c h its not always said in a nasty way as some people referr to a b i t c h as a female dog i think its silly

Well, murdering cow is offensive, but not a naughty word, whereas if you came downstairs to hear your 3 year old say b*tch they you'd be pretty shocked.
