Islam - can our "muslim friends" actually live in piece with Christians?

If all Muslim's must reject the crucifixion of Christ based on the Koran and all Christians must reject Muhammad as a prophet based on the Bible, my question is: on exactly what basis do you believe Christianity and Islam are compatible religions?

KORAN TEACHES, MAHDI AND JESUS BOTH WILL RETURN AND HELP EACHOTHER DURING THE TRIBULATION, AND THEN MAHDI KILLS JESUS.

Well...they both state Jesus actually existed.
That's something, right?
Unfortunately any other similarities are overshadowed by the fact that Christians are considered idol worshipers for making Jesus the son of God and worshiping him.
The Koran says he was a beloved prophet and was greatly respected but just a man not a deity.
Oh well. Guess they have to fight now and forever until one side concedes that the other is right.

mr.mister, i want to say that you have got the wrong information about islam. In THE PREVIOUS POST U CLAIMED "when your quran teaches, your fake messiah, MADDI, will kill Jesus after 40 years and rule the world?" u either got it from the wrong source (website) or you have no information about ISLAM. This is not mentioned in the quran.

According to Islam Mahdi will rule the world in the future by bringing peace to this world and will not kill jesus as you claimed. Then jesus will return before the DAY OF RESURRECTION (NOT AFTER 40 YEARS) and will live and rule this world for 40 years. He will kill the Anti-christ and the people will live an extremely peaceful lives under his rule. (God knows better)

I want to know where you got this information.
Before claiming all this anti-islam comment i would kindly suggest u to read the quran before giving these types of reference.

Yes every Non-Muslims are infidels, but this does not prove the claims that we do kill each Non-Muslims, we do not kill who seek peace with us ...please read Quran. it is very sad that you say these things and you didn't read the Quran (from the start to the end to understand it well and don't choose what you want and leave the rest that will be a mistake) and the sona (hadith) the main sources and asking emam.
I'm sure you will change you thoughts about Islam ,if there is bad things happened from a Muslims that for sure from them not from Islam teaching (don't mix up) .If your claims that we kill every Non-Muslim is true then plz ask about (one from many) Omar Bin Al-Khattab's رضي الله عنه(second caliph ) litter that sent to Sa`d bin Abī Waqqās when Jerusalem are opened.

Finally,Don't Follow who's heart full with hate and trying to justify their hatred.

Muslims respect Christians and the Qur'an demands Muslims to let them coexist with them unless they are bringing harm, or waging war against them. I myself am Muslim and happen to have many Christian, Jewish, and otherwise nonmuslim friends as well as Muslim ones. There is a HUGE population of Muslims in America who live peacefully with their Christian neighbors. In fact there are WAY more peaceful ones than ones who cause problems but of course few know that because no one reports about the many peaceful Muslims than the few terrorists and unpeacful ones.

anyway i think that the proplem in u,u can not understand the islam.
here in Egypt,christians and muslim live peacefully life and co-operate with eath other.Allah ordered us to treat u kinldy as long as u do not fight us,in this case we have to definte ourselves.
muslims beleive that Jesus was a great prophet and they were ordered to love him as well as Muhammed(PBUH) who we love morethan ourselves ,but we beleive that he was not killed,what is ur proplem,it is our own beleif and if u really believe that he was killed so why we offend u?????????????????????
