Why is there enough religion to incite war.....
But not enought to instill tolerance?

You are right - the majority of people on this earth believe
in some kind of God, Holy Ghost, Allah, Buddha,etc.
and not one of them has the guts to say be tolerant,
understanding and respectful towards the other believers.
Perhaps the self delusion that their religion is the "only right one"
spreads hatred towards the others, that must be eradicated.
This is really hard to think about and answer properly.
I hope there is someone out there that can put this in a better context.

not all war is caused by religion. I'm catholic, and there are so many religions out there, that people don't agree. some don't even agree jesus existed, some don't believ there is a God...some take things too seriously...some are too liberal...unfortunate as it is, its the truth.

pure and simple, extreamists. They exist in ALL religons and choose to focus on parts that if were on thier own would be true but are a part of a whole, so therefore are false.

because man is involved and man is inherently flawed and will try to convince others that his opinion is the best one, even if it means fighting them to prove it.
