I have a dog and three cats. I'm a good pet owner. My animals are all up-to-date on their vaccines, they are exercised, fed nutritious food and happy. I live in a 2-bedroom condo. I want to get another dog, but I think it would be too many pets. I would save one from the pound. What do you think? Too much for one person to handle?

Condsider the age of your dog before getting another dog. Sometimes older dogs are content and become territorial, and may not get along with the new dog. Younger dogs welcome a playmate.

I have three dogs. One Boxer 1yr and 1/2, Pitt Pulll 9 months old, and Boxer/Huskey 8 yrs. old. The two young ones play all the time. The older one stays away, but let's them know she's the boss.

All three get much love and attention from the family and from each other. The Pitt Bull is the most lovable. She kisses everyone, incl. her brother and sister good morning everyday.

Depends. How big of a dog? A small dog would be best in a condo. They don't need much exercise. As long as you have the money and time to give all your pets the attention they need, then to rescue a dog from the pound would be a good idea.

I have 5 fish, 2 cats, 2 dogs, 3 kids and a husband.
Hope that helps.
O one of my kids is 6 1/2 months and one of my dogs is 5 months and in the process of being house broke.

But seriously how much do you think you can handle?! If you are sure you can handle it then go for it if you are questioning it then maybe you shouldn't or maybe you should think about it longer.
Good Luck on what ever you decide.

I have 4 dogs & 3 cats. I can handle all of them. I just line them up at feeding time. When they need love, I give it to them. They do get it from each other also. I think your dog would really like a doggie friend that's not of the feline persuasion. You might even notice your dog perking up.

I think that you seem to be a great owner, and if you really want one, get one. It would be nice for your other dog to play with, and you are saving a life at the pound!

If you think you could handle it then go for it, especially if you are saving another dog. I think that is marvelous you have more than one pet. I live in a duplex and I was lucky to have my dog here too, wish I could have more too..

You will really have to be the alpha dog, more so than with 1 mellow dog.

If you aren't a good dog trainer, I would say don't get another dog.

All depends on the type of dog.

Greyhounds are usualy just large cats, while border collies need to work and usualy want a lot of attention.

What do you want the dog to do?

If you have the space and time to care for all the annimals I don't think there is a problem. Of course they do cost money in food, vet bills, etc. But if you have no problem there, I don't see why not?
