Gosh... If I had a nickle for everytime I hear that question.....
Anyways, that is a theory, and can not be backed up by any factual evidence (either way). It is not mentioned in the Bible if Jesus had or had not married Mary or any other woman. It is pure speculation. It comes from the thought that if Jesus did come down to earth as a human, would he not have married? He was thirty when he died, so it is possible he did. However, I don't think if he was or was not is important at all. It does not change one's faith.
Now there is a major discussion & investigation all because of the book the DaVinci Code. This book was ment to raise questions & cause an uproar, and it did. However, it is a FICTIONAL book (says so right on the cover), so it's not real. It's just a made up story. It is pretty convincing, the way he rights it, but it's just a story.

As of yet there is no hard evidence either way. If you were to rely on biblical evidence only, then the case would be against any kind of marriage. But, in other works, such as in the gospel of Mary Magdalene quoted above, there are provocative statements that open a possibility of a union, but really nothing concrete yet. Once you loosen your mind a little bit and are willing to just explore the possibility, then you can see some evidence that indicate a possibility, but only that, a possibility. Some writers have taken these hints and suggestions and turned them into millions of bucks, because it is a controversial subject.
I would suggest that you can only do some research for yourself, and then come to your own conclusion ( or non-conclusion)
Look into some of the things that were discovered at Nag Hammadi or along the shores of the Dead Sea, left behind by the Essenes. There are some works that were not included in the bible by its compilers, it may take a little footwork to find them. All in all, this research most likely will have the result of increasing (or creating) your understanding of Jesus.
The absolute worst thing you can do is to mire yourself in medieval dogma as many are wont to do

It is impossible to provide evidence for this because there is none. The only evidence for this relationship with Mary is an old French legend; there is just as much evidence - or more - that Jesus is buried in Japan!

People are only attracted to this Mary Magdalene nonsense because they think it discredits the Bible. It's hogwash, pure and simple.

No. My evidence is simple, the book which introduced that belief to you is found in the "fiction section" of all libraries. The word fiction basically means "not real".

Oh, by the way, I'm still waiting for someone to show me a Bible verse that proclaims that Mary Magdeline and Jesus were married.

The gospels according to mary magdelene.

Chapter 5
1) But they were grieved. They wept greatly, saying, How shall we go to the Gentiles and preach the gospel of the Kingdom of the Son of Man? If they did not spare Him, how will they spare us?

2) Then Mary stood up, greeted them all, and said to her brethren, Do not weep and do not grieve nor be irresolute, for His grace will be entirely with you and will protect you.

3) But rather, let us praise His greatness, for He has prepared us and made us into Men.

4) When Mary said this, she turned their hearts to the Good, and they began to discuss the words of the Savior.

5) Peter said to Mary, Sister we know that the Savior loved you more than the rest of woman.

6) Tell us the words of the Savior which you remember which you know, but we do not, nor have we heard them.

7) Mary answered and said, What is hidden from you I will proclaim to you.

8) And she began to speak to them these words: I, she said, I saw the Lord in a vision and I said to Him, Lord I saw you today in a vision. He answered and said to me,

9) Blessed are you that you did not waver at the sight of Me. For where the mind is there is the treasure.

10) I said to Him, Lord, how does he who sees the vision see it, through the soul or through the spirit?

11) The Savior answered and said, He does not see through the soul nor through the spirit, but the mind that is between the two that is what sees the vision and it is [...]

There is no literary evidence that this ever happened. I cannot prove a negative, but suffice it to say that none of the writings in the 300 years after Christ wrote about such a thing.

I don't agree or disagree. Let's not forget that there is a lot of missing info in the Bible concerning Jesus's entire life. Maybe he did maybe not, I don't know. I do know that the info that IS in the Bible is sufficient for our salvation if you believe in Christ and that's what really matters.
