He has been up there for about 4 hours now. He is about 30 feet up and no lower branches than that. Food, ladder,hose and calling do not work. Plase help.

A Hose? No wonder it won't come down, that is awful, and no, cats don't always land on their feet, a fall from that height will bust up the bones in that cat. Call the humane society to see if they can help or maybe even ask the fire dept. Sometimes they help. if they can't help, see who they reccomend who can help you. Good Luck

Is he an outdoor cat? You may have to leave him up there for a while and he will come down on his own sometime in the night.
If not you will have to pay for a tree service to some out with a cherry picker.

My cat once went up a tree and would not come down, so my boyfriend threw a football at it and knocked it from the tree. It landed on it's feet. I'm pretty sure he will come down when ready. They do know how to get down, believe it or not.

Well I have seen on tv and stuff in the past where people call the fire dept to get them down. So, I guess if yer that concerned call the fire dept to get your cat down. Usually if a cat gets them self into a spot they can usually get themselves out of it. Perhaps the cat is not ready to come down?!?

Just leave him in the tree and get some sleep. He WILL come out of the tree when he gets hungry enough. Just needs the motivation!

Maybe the fire department would help, or is that just in movies? Anyways, leave it there til tomorrow morning, if it's still there, he needs help cuz he can't get down.
