Is Sodium fluoride 0.243% the same as (0.15% w/v fluoride ion)? Are they the same amount of fluoride? The reason I ask is because I saw the following listed for 3 toothpastes, and need to know if they have different amounts or kinds of fluoride, see below and please tell me which is the best for fighting cavities and which is the least effective for fighting cavities based on the ingredient listed for each below:

Crest Sensitivity Original Formula - Sodium fluoride 0.243% (0.15% w/v fluoride ion)

Crest Sensitivity Extra Whitening - Sodium fluoride 0.243%

Sensodyne Fresh Mint - Sodium fluoride 0.15% w/v fluoride ion

Your question just has a difference in units, they all have the same amount of fluoride in them. .243% is a weight to weight percent where they divide the weight of fluoride by the total weight of the toothpaste, and the .15 % w/v is a weight to volume percent, where they divide the weight of fluoride by the volume of toothpaste. It is all explained here if you scroll down.

Yes they all have the same amount of fluoride, equals out to be about 1100 parts per million. (Fluoridated water has 1 ppm Fluoride). All are effective in preventing decay. All are also sensitivity formulas so they also contain potassium nitrate. Use which ever one you like the most or which ever one is cheapest, which will be one of the Crest toothpastes.
By the way, I really like the new Crest Sensitivity Whitening plus Scope, tastes really good.
If you have a lot of sensitivity and are extra prone to cavities, then you can ask your dentist for a prescription for Prevident or they may have one in the office to dispense. I use Discus Dentals Fluoridex toothpaste with Potassium Nitrate. It has 5000 ppm Fluoride, significantly more than over the counter toothpastes.
