This has happened to a lot of people. It's not uncommon to get a false negative pregnancy test if it's still too early to detect pregnancy.

my period is always irregular. YES< YES home tests can be wrong I took 3 and they all said negative. 3 days after the blood test at the hospital showed positive. The ultrasound confirmed I was 7 weeks. Go see a doctor, don't waste anymore money. I am now 38 weeks

Yes. 14 years ago, I took one & it was negative. I went to the doctor & had a blood test done that came back positive. I realize that the tests were a lot less accurate back then. It was frustrating since I was barely 18 at the time. I miscarried just a few days after I hit the 4 month mark. I now have a son who's 9. It wasn't my time to be pregnant back then.

Yes. It's either too early or a defective test. That's why it's a good idea to test a week after a missed period and take two tests rather than just one. It also helps if the test is taken first thing in the morning.

I took a home test with my second son which came out negative, but the next week it was positive. Since it is not a certainty when your ovulation happened, the first test may have been too early to detect the HCG hormone.

This happens to anyone who produces a low amount of HCG, the pregnancy hormone, at the beginning of a pregnancy. With some people, it can take a bit more time for the levels to rise enough to make a test turn positive.

Yes. With my first I was at the Dr because of being so sick and the test was even negative there, but it turned out that I was PG and started with morning sickness almost immediately. With my 3rd and 4th the first test was negative, too because I was testing a little too early (excited and wanted to know).

No. Those tests are very accurate. Just follow the instructions. test closer to your start of the period date and if doubt repete like two/tree days in a row. But yes when i was preagnant it showed positive on the first day of missed period, so i'd say the tests are reliable.

Yes, it does happen. Some pregancy tests do not detect a pregnancy if it's too early. This is why the instructions advise to take the test again if you are still late or to get a test from your physician.

Yup, you are probably testing way too early. When the package says test after a MISSED period, that is exactly what it means. You have to miss the following month and then test. Going through this myself.
