but idk what type it is. a lot of people have been saying there's only short hair and long hair.. but i've heard others say there's teacup, miniature, regular so idk what she is. i know the male and female she was breed from were small and no taller than a foot to the top of the ears. but i have an 11 year old chi who is almost a foot to her withers and if she lays down she's two feet from the tip of her nose to the tip of her tail. she's a purebreed chi. the newest baby will be 3 months on the 21st and isn't even 6 inches to her withers and foot from her nose to the base of her tail. the owner said she won't get much bigger though. what kind is she??

chihuahuas, like many other breeds, have been bred to be smaller and smaller in the last 20 or 30 years. you rarely see one the size of your older one anymore. a teacup sized will actually fit in a cup when fullgrown.and do not breed true. your three month old is about the norm for what people look for today. just in case you were wondering, when breeding it is better if the female is a bit bigger than the male. it makes for easier delivery of puppies.
