Earlier today I left for a few hours and noticed she was packing for a trip, or was moving somewhere. I came back a little later and was picking up all of my stuff to leave again for a job interview.. Some guy outside he found the dog and thought it was someones.

The woman upstairs didn't answer her door and the note I left her is still in the same position.

I put the dog in my bathroom and he crapped everywhere.. but I let him outside and he pee'd and poop'd w/out a leash and didn't run off. He has a very playful personality but he is a pit bull (which can snap at any second). I fed him about 4-5 cups of dry food and he seems so happy and excited now.

I put him in the hallway of my apartments. What should I do? I can't keep him in my apt w/my 2 very small dogs and a cat.

Put a couple of signs up that you are giving away harmless, happy good pit-bull. I am sure someone will call.

Preferred: Contact Pit Bull rescue!!!

http://www.pbrc.net/home.html

Secondary: Contact friends and family, see if any of them will want to adopt the pup.

Third: Bring it to a local animal shelter.

BUT - you should report your neighbor to animal control for abandoning it.

As for pooping in the bathroom, don't be suprised, the pup is going though a lot of stress. Get it some good food and water.

Do you think the neighbor is coming back? If she's gone for a long time, be glad you noticed it early so the pup won't go days (or weeks?) without food and water.

I have two cats, a small poodlex and a ginnies pig and my pit bull plays with all of them. Becasue thepoor thing is a pit bull it dose not make it dangerous. If you are frighten of it it is best to give it to someone or try to find a pit bull rescue. They will find it a home or maybe get it training to be a service dog. More and more pits are being used that way

Call the Humane Society. I'd worry about keeping it in your house for legal reasons, and also because you can't be sure if it's safe to have it around your smaller pets.

Take him to the dog pound immediately!!! We have had some terrible mauling to children and adults, even deaths - caused by pitbulls here in Australia. its a dog you don't want to have around even for a moment......

unless you can keep him or find the owner you will have to call animal control and have them come pick her up. If found her owner could be charged with animal neglect and abandonment.
