I would call a photo and framing shop they have probably had all kinds of accidents by now. But I would think watercolor would probably not be repairable. Good Luck and don't do any stupid home remedies go to the professionals:-)

Stop what your doing. Those brown spots are supposed to be there. The painting is obviously a rare and expensive one. The title of your painting is called "Brown Spots on the Wall" by Whooh Flung Poo. Take it to a dealer and get it appraised.

Yes, but ask a museum curator, they work on these things all the time.

probably water damage, and not much can be done as it's likely permeated the paper.
