One of the reat misconceptions about Caatholics is that they pray to Mary. They do not -- they ask her to pray for them. To Catholics, who believe that those in Heaven can hear us, this is no different from Protestants asking their friends or grandmothers to pray for them.

I stpped asking Mary to pray for me when I became an agnostic -- but I hope your prayers are answered. However, I think it is men who will have to clean up our air.

I certainly am NOT. That is a "Catholic" (Universal) Church tradition...but NOT a "Christian" tradition. No where in the Bible, are Christians even remotely suggested to pray to or worship or idolize the past-tense Virgin Mary (Μαριαμ..."Mariam"). Mary herself, had to "believe" upon her Son as her "Personal Saviour" in order to "save" her from the "penalty" for her "sins". Mary was merely chosen as the vessel through whom the LORD was to be "born" into the world "in the flesh". Mary was certainly "blessed"...as ALL true believers in Christ are blessed.

dude, praying to Mary is praying to a dead person. She can't really tell Jesus what to do.
