How do Christians expect non believers to take them seriously when their are so many branches of it. I mean Lutheran, Babtist, Presbyterian, Catholics, and so many others I cannot name. Why not agree on the differences, band together, and really do some good for the world? This is why I have my own doubts about being a believer. Why believe in something that doesn't believe in itself. Somebody educate me please.

P.S. I respect peoples beliefs and would never try to change or argue with what someone believes, but I just want someone who is more educated on the subject than me to answer this. Thank you.

No. The fact is that not all christians believe the same. Some are apostate (believe facts that are based on erroneous beliefs, such as the Trinity, Christmas (pagan), still practices tongues), etc. Many things such as Forgiveness by a Priest, Mary and Saint worship and other things are Doctrines of Men and NOT BASED ON THE BIBLE in any way. These are things that are unacceptable to god and cannot be simply overlooked and just "accepted" because God HAS CERTAIN REQUIREMENTS for His worship. He is a strict and jealous god and wants things done His way. After all, "small and narrow is the path, and few finding it" not "broad and wide."

The question about 'christian' faiths coming together is a good idea. The problem is man is a false god; and in this country, is viewing God on a false god's (man)terms, rather than viewing God on God's terms. The 'two or more witnesses' principle, given to the Jews (about three times between Deut. 10-20) and to the Christians (Matt.18:16, 2 Cor.13:1), along with 2 Tim. 3:16-17 (all scripture is given by inspiration of God...) yields a different definition of 'Old Testament' than Genesis-Malachi; the old testament was the law of Moses. It is important as the scriptural od testament was abolished/done away.
If you want a further elaboration; email me personnally.

Seems a simple enough solution. But you should read the parable of the wheat and the weeds in Matthew 13:24-30; 36-43. Jesus foretold this situation regarding Christianity. There are impostor Christian religions and then there is one true one...you've got to dig through it all to find the true one.

Good point, but wasn't Martin Luther one of the first people to branch out and make his own religion? It seems that since then everyone has had a reason to begin their own religion. I'm Catholic, so you know I believe that Catholicism was the church, the first, that Jesus had founded himself. Good question, although I have probably not helped, it is something good to think about.

I'm non-denominational. Technically, it's another branch, but it aims to bring all branches together unofficially. Also, I won't get together unless we exclude consevative evangelicals. THEY ARE EVIL!
