I don't understand Atheists, because I can't imagine being a part of this world and not believing in something greater than myself. I mean c'mon, the world is too incredible.

But I don't think Atheists fear our beliefs. They simply want us to stop trying to cram them down their throats. Each person must make his/her own spiritual walk.

And guess what even among believers we don't all want to walk the same path. I'm sure your path differs remarkably from my own. In the hereafter maybe we can chat about it.

If your truth of Jesus is based on the bible, then I would say your truth is quite amiss. Some would say if what the bible says is actual and true, then Jesus committed sucide, which I believe in the Christian world is a "Sin". Fear no I do not believe fear is an issue with Atheist. I am not one, however I full support their right to the freedom from having a belief system. And actually I admire their ability to question without fear.

Coming from a previous Christian, neither of the above. My knowledge of the bible and Christianity is what makes me not a Christian anymore. Things like the fact that Jesus cried out "why have you forsaken me" while on the cross. That doesn't make sense no matter what the excuse and the stories are just so absurd and the only evidence is faith! I have no fear but I do have an awful lot of frustration. You don't listen to us we don't listen to you. It doesn't have anything to do with fear or lack of knowledge on our part, on your part... fear of dying and not knowing what is next, fear of sinning and going to hell, and ignorance to all the physical evidence set before you.

I don't even know what the Hell that is, and frankly I think the Bible is a bunch of hooey. How can I be scared of something I don't believe in?

I don't know where 'attack' came from. If you've had bad experiences with Atheists, I'm sorry. We're not all like that. I say live and let live. You can believe whatever the Hell you want, but choose to keep things real.

Perhaps it has little to do with Jesus and more to do with his inept followers.

If Atheist fear or are ignorant of Jesus, isn't that your folly and not theirs, good Christian?

I would be incline to believe Christ, if nothing less, was a good man, but that his words were perverted by voices like yours, whom do not speak for him. The persecuting and superior tone in your question is what breeds the fear and ignorance of Jesus, not his own teachings.

I think the reason some Atheists "attack" as you put it, is because they feel attacked by Christians telling them they are bad people who are going to hell. I realize some Christians truly believe this, but we have to understand, that we are coming from totally different belief systems. So, do Christians really think it is helpful, or interesting to Atheists to be judged by someone else's belief system?

Why does the idea that Christ may have survived the Crucifixion bother Christians so much?

That might very well be the truth of Jesus, but don't tell a fundamentalist Christian that, or his head will likely explode.

I have not seen any "truth" of jesus other than a book that was written by human beings. And by this book's definition, humans are not perfect. Therfore, if imperfect humans wrote a book, the book must be imperfect. Logic 101.

No. Jesus has been dead for a very long time. I do not fear him. There is no reason to do so. He was just a political rebel who made trouble for himself and the Romans killed him. That is all.

I'm not sure. Is it fear when someone who claims to be a Christian attacks an Atheist?
