Well, maybe the divine being manifests itself in different ways.
Just because someone is different and chooses another faith does not mean they're not worshiping the divine power, they're probably just doing it in a different way, which is not a bad thing unless it's hurting others.

1 Corinthians 1:10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
If everybody who claimed to follow the Bible believed and taught only the Bible, we would all believe the same thing. The problem comes because most preachers preach from some catechism, manual, discipline, or creedbook.
For example, ever hear somebody say, "Baptism is an outward sign of an inward grace"? The Bible doesn't say that; it comes from the Anglican "Book of Common Prayer." The Bible says, "Baptism doth also now save us" (1 Peter 3:21).

The problem occurs firstly because the bible is fallible. If you compare king james and new international version they are rather different, eg Isaiah 13:21. you will see that dragon has been changed to owl... owl???? the word infallible means incapable of errors.
So that raises the question, is the bible TRULY true or has it been manipulated by man? i think so.
I was fortunate to be able to be present for one of His Holliness the Dala Lhama speeches and this is roughly what he said " the reason that there are so many religions is because there are so many types of people. each religon will fit with an individual and vise versa but not all people will fit with one, nor will one relgion fit with all people."

This is the case where you must explore the difference in religious beliefs and decide for yourself which is the correct one. You'll be amazed that no single religion is the absolute correct one. It's all a diversity of the people. Perhaps god didn't express this in this concept. Perhaps it was interpreted that way. Does it make it correct?

All religions have the same defining attribute. They all want you to beleive in them and them alone. Deciding on the correct road to redemption or if there actually is a road is the only real problem.
My suggestion is to leave each to their own and things will be fine.
Besides if all religions are simply wrong about the hereafter, everyone will end up in the same place as us atheists anyway.=)

Making us different was necessary because I believe HE wants to see how people act when faced with diversity. How tolerant and loving are you?
What you have to remember is that religon is created by manm that;s why there are so many of them. It's not important which one you are, but how you practice and worship your spirituality. You do not need a church to do that tho. We don;t need to believe the same things, but we need to respect those who believe differently,

I don't remember God saying we all had to be the same religion. He just said that we had to obey him. He gave us free will, and I have to beleive that he meant for us to use it. And just as a point of interest, I am Catholic. But, do I think that people of other religions will go to Hell because they don't beleive exactly as I do? No, of course not. Are not the Jews the chosen people?

Why do you say we are all so different?
Because some have blond hair and others black?
Because some people like ice cream and others don't?
We are not different!
We all have the same needs ....to be loved, respected, acknowledged and to need satisfying work, etc.
The color of hair or slant of eyes is very superficial.

God has the power to communicate to all men and he may do so in a variety of ways...not just the channel I have chosen to believe.
