Helix, you've got it backwards. Sunnis follow the Qur'an and sunnah of Prophet Muhammad, sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, and the shi'ah follow their "imams".
The shia don't actually even follow Hussein. They follow fabricated statements about what Ali (Hussein's father, the cousin of the Prophet Muhammad, sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam), Hussein, and a succession of twelve "imams" said and did. Some take their reverence for these imams to the level of worshipping them and even claiming that Ali or Husein were to receive the Qur'an from Allah, but the Angel Jibreel disobeyed Allah and gave it to Muhammad! They claim that the Qur'an we have isn't the "real" Qur'an, and that the Mahdi (their twelfth imam) will bring the real Qur'an with him when he returns from a cave he supposedly disappeared into when he was a child.
There are many more things they believe and follow that sunnis consider deviant. Note, however, that sunnis believe that Ali, Husein, and the other companions of the Prophet, sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam, were good, pious Muslims who never taught anyone to worship them or to follow them instead of the Qur'an or sunnah. Thus, what is attributed to them by the shia is considered blasphemous slander by sunnis.
The web presentation for which you've posted a link is nothing but shi'a propaganda, full of lies that have been refuted thousands of times. Want the truth about Islam? Read the Qur'an, not the nonsense on that web site.

I did not click on your link, but according to Muslims that I have studied from this is what they know.
At the death of Muhammaad, there was no successor named by him. One group wanted to name a successor from genetic line and another group wanted to name a successor from among the ranks of power, not just family lines.
THis set up our modern day shitites and sunni's and yes they are still fighting over who was right so long ago.
It is about power, not the religion itself. One nation divided, will fall.

Do you know the difference between crips and bloods??
One grew up on one side of the street, the other grew up on the other side of the street. . .people don't fight over religion, but over turf.
Class Dismissed!
