If not, what is the female equivalent of a priest?

And when I say priest, I don't mean preacher. There is a huge difference. Priest must study for years before becoming ordained......Oh, and about Paul saying women should keep quiet in church, I researched that and I found that it just applied to those times, but times change...

Everything in the bible applied ONLY to the time it was written. . .people think Jesus' words were meant for you and me. . .how could they be?

They can help guide us or inspire us, but the fact that folks ignore the ban on pork, yet think we all have to drink Jesus' blood is ridiculous for anyone who even thinks of being an independent thinker.

No, at least not in the Catholic Church. There is no female equivalent of a priest, priests are men, but woman are able to become nuns in the Catholic Church. And we all are called to be Saints.

According to the Bible, all Christians are priests (1Peter 2:5). Women can be Christians, therefore women can be priests.

That doesn't mean that they are authorized to be preachers (1 Timothy 2:12).

The Roman Catholic Church does not allow female priests. However, there are a few Anglican and Episcopal priests who are women.

In the Catholic Church, I'm afraid not. There are many roles that women can and do play in the church - they can actually do more than some people realize - but they are not allowed to be ordained nor are they allowed to administer sacraments. (Well, they can be Ministers of the Eucharist, but they cannot consecrate.)

NO,WOMAN CANNOT BE A TRUE PRIEST, IN A CHURCH.
1Tm:2:9: In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
1Tm:2:10: But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
1Tm:2:11: Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
1Tm:2:12: But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
1Tm:2:13: For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
1Tm:2:14: And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
1Tm:2:15: Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

I don't know of one within Christianity. I believe it's always been male-dominated in that sense. I think the closest thing to it would be like Mother Theresa
