For example, if Jesus were to appear to you today and tell you that there is much more to know then what is currently taught in the Bible, would you be open minded and consider changing your beliefs?

Are your religious beliefs all "sewn up" or is their room for a higher understanding of life? Do you feel spiritual discernment and spiritual growth are necessary or do you believe you should simply believe everything you have been taught about Christianity as being true? If so, why?

I think your question has been asked and answered several times. Look at how Christianity has split into so many groups over the centuries. What is a true christian? Which branch is the right one? I think Christians need to agree on how things were and join together to form one large religion, then they could really make a difference. A true believer would never change their beliefs.

Christianity is very simple to understand. All Christians have to do is be like Jesus, meaning do everything Jesus would of did. First Jesus made everything make sense by giving us common sense the ability to know right from wrong. There's no short cuts, therefore no room for compromise. As a natural baby grow so does Christians meaning spiritual growth. And as a baby saint grow and get stronger the ability to discern and defeat the enemy is a daily challenge. But with Jesus by our side we welcome this challenge in hoping of saving a soul and an opportunity to spread the word.

First of all I am formerly a christian. I still believe in god, but not religion so to say. All it seems they can do is quote scripture blindly not knowing if what they say is true. They say its true only because they are told. I thought we had free will to think for our selves. I like the way you think. These same questions come to my mind all the time. I started to think and follow my heart and this is where it has lead me. True spirituality. I still read the bible as well as other scripture. I try to look at the BIG picture, not all the minor details. I also read lots of books on the subject of Divinity. Sorry to answer you question I just got excited to see I am not alone in my thoughts.

Why would Jeses contradict himself? Does Jesus have dual personalities now?

Galatians 1:6-12 (NIV)
I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!
Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.
I want you to know, brothers, that the gospel I preached is not something that man made up. I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ.

Thats a good question. I personally would want to know, but I know that some people wouldn't believe it unless it came directly from God....meaning he appeared to them in a vision or something.
And certainly there is room for a higher understanding of life. We should find out all we can about what believe so there will be less questions.

''non secular beliefs'' is fairly a loosely defined time period do you mean the bible? Or do you mean are teachings that we get from the bible because each ones perspectives on the Bible are different it is why i dont bypass to church. So for the first one the bible do i have self belief a speaking snake doomed humanity no do i have self belief there became a virgin start no and the record is going on. yet do i have self belief the message in those memories certain i do precisely like the snake contained in the backyard it teaches us how now to not lead from the course of God and in spite of if we may be able to we can nevertheless be loved. there are distinct interpretations of the bible so its puzzling to wager what you mean once you're saying ''non secular beliefs'' mine my selection from the Christian next to me. Like i have self belief that we were given mind to apply and to apply as a lot as achievable that differs from significant bypass Christianity so i desire my answer helped and if its is shown with a 100% reality that there is not any God i often is the first to write down a query apologizing to atheists

The Bible is the inspired Word of God. It has been tested and tried. Many have tried to stamp it out but today the Bible still stands as the largest selling copy of any other book.

There is nothing to be added or taken away from the Bible. The Bible makes it clear.

The Holy Spirit, himself has shown me the errors of the religion I was raised in - and gave me the correct interpretation AS I HAVE NEED.

When the Lord determines someone needs to know, he teaches them step by step, not all at one time. I guess one shock at a time requires getting used to.

As Paul said, the Holy Spirit will teach you. But he goes onto say there are stipulations. As long as the person remains in Christ Jesus this is true. I have seen many "men" of their own wisdom and own mind declare they have the answer - but the truth despite their degrees and credentials is far from them.

I do not rely on website (a) and (b) to direct my course. I do not rely on "The Purpose Driven Life" by a self deceived prophet, Rick Warren who has adapted friendship with the world and incorporates demonic mysticism - deceiving masses who truly believe this demon led man is of God.

Should I rely on man or God? God! And the Bible despite some "slight" tampering by the Satanic Catholic Rome is in tact just enough. I use the NIV to identify any suspect scriptures added by the Roman Catholic house of secrets and lies.

There are so many diverse religious beliefs, who can know what is "true". If Jesus appeared to me and told me there was more to know, I would not doubt his word. If you can not be open minded to Jesus, then you are not a believer and therefore not a christian.
