Do you believe that endless punishment would manifest the glory of God? Do you hope that endless misery is true?
Is "faith the substance (or foundation) of things hoped for?" -- (Heb. 11:1)
If endless misery be not a thing hoped for, can it be a part of the Christian faith?Would endless misery benefit the Almighty, as the INFLICTOR?
Would endless misery benefit the saints, as SPECTATORS?
Would endless misery benefit the sinner, as the SUFFERER?
If endless punishment be the "wages of sin," could the sinner ever receive payment in full? (Rom. 6:23)
If man cannot commit an infinite sin, can he deserve endless punishment?
If sin be infinite, can it be true that, "where sin abounded grace did MUCH MORE abound ?" --(Rom. 5:20)

A continuous burning hell is the most God dis-honoring thing that is being preached in many churches. They scare some people into joining the church and being baptized, but people who do this out of fear are lost anyway according to the Bible. God wants you to love him. Not be afraid of him.

I find it difficult to believe that I am going to suffer for all eternity to pay for things I may have done or will do in the 70 or 80 years I might spend on this planet. 80 years is a blink of an eye, such a small fraction of time. For some people, this place IS hell. Never ending torment and pain until the sweet release of death. If a truly evil person were sent to hell, would he not feel safe, relaxed, and at home there?

The fact of hell is what keeps the world from being a lawless place.

I am secure in the knowledge that the wicked will be judged and punished because I believe that hell is the destiny for such evildoers. If I did not believe in hell, I would want evildoers to pay for their sins here in this world and would be less forgiving and more vigilantistic. I suspect that the world as a whole would become a more violent place as people who experience injustices would seek to right those wrongs.

Well, there must be a punishment for wrong doing. "Hell" is that punishment. The glorified beings will not enjoy seeing people suffer. Think that the endless punishment after hell could be, in my speculation, that you are removed from god, and cannot go back to him. You can either to choose to repent in this life, and let Jesus' atonement do the rest for you, or you can suffer in the life to come, as Jesus did.

I don't like reading excerpts from the bible. God gave me a brain and I intend to use it rather than read what was written by chauvinistic males hundreds of years ago.

But I do know that only MAN could think of such way of dealing with the weak sinner. if god exists and if he is as good as he is supposed to be then he would understand....after all....isn't he the all-knowing and the creator??

God knows me....he is my conscience

For some people hell is on earth already and they don't even deserve it!

If he wanted us to be perfect...then why didn't he make us so?!

Someday, we will learn the true meaning of these things.

For now, know that we create our own heaven and hell here on earth...within our own hearts.

We choose our destiny. Believe it or not, it does not benefit God in any way when we choose endless misery. He, in fact, weeps over this choice.

HELL was Created for satan and his angel's. Mankind was never supposed to go there.
HELL is not a Punishment from GOD.
Adam changed God's for all of us.
We are born with satan as our Spiritual God.
We are connected to him Spiritually, (this is not Demon Possession, and a LOST Person can use his,her Free-Will and Chose to be a GOOD Person---good not SAVED).
You will spend a long time with the God you are connected to after you Leave the EARTH for Good.
If you don't get your Spiritman Recreated (SAVED) and Change God's BACK to the CREATOR, "JESUS", and then Leave the EARTH for Good, you will spend along time with satan. Hope this helps. "JLU"

the bible speaks very clearly on this. yes, there is a heaven and a hell.
we are all given the free will to choose to serve God or not

Those who choose God and abide by His word are written in the book of life and go to heaven
Those who do not choose God are judged on the day of judgement with everyone else and go to hell

We will all be judged on that day and will either go to heaven or hell

you have asked a lot of questions up there...i would advise you not to seek the opinions or advice from those of us on this site, but to get a bible and start searching for yer answers there....
God instructs us to study (the bible) to show ourselves approved
do that and you will find all of the answers you are seeking
Ask on here and no tellin what you will get

be cool...

My belief is that hell is for those who heard the word of God and His son Jesus ,{ who payed the ultimate price for our sins. }'And if we hear and turn away and choose not to receive our salvation and choose to live in sin, we are told what would become of us in doing so. Hell and Satan are described as a place and being, that Jesus holds the keys to, and for a thousand years Satan will be locked behind the gates of hell. I don't believe I can take one part of the bible to suite me, and ignore the what I don't like.

The torment of hell is separation from God. On earth we are not entirely apart from Him. An unbeliever still dwells in contact with Him. When death happens to such a one then there is separation and that person's spirit lies down in torment. It is agony to be apart from Him. I do believe what Jesus said, "the worm never dies".

sin is infinite thats why we CANT save ourselves through good words, meditation, etc. We need a SAVIOR (Jesus) since God is INFINITE we need an INFINITE redeemer. when adam sinned the gates of heaven were closed forEVER until Jesus restored ourplace with God for all who believe.
