Please don't generalize. I'm a mother of 5 children, and am now currently pregnant with twins. I take care of my children. They are all gifted & talented, in advanced curriculums, or just plain have higher intelligence. Not to mention that they are well-mannered - especially in public.

I do go out with friends sometimes, to keep my sense of self. That doesn't mean that I'm a bad mother - as giving myself free time a few days a month keeps my sanity, and continues to make me a good mother.

Your question just raises more questions. Why do so many men impregnate women, and then wait for a court order demanding them to be helpful. In my opinion, it's the women who choose life, who choose to try to be a good mother - are definitely more of God's children than the men that walk away.

Give those mothers some credit. Because it takes at least 9 months to bring a life into this world. Add more months of sleepless nights for feedings & changing. Add hundreds of dollars on babysitters. Add thousands of dollars on diapers, medical care, clothing, and God forbid a few toys. And the only thing that women can get - is a certain percentage of a man's income...if they can track him down, make him get a job, and then get an overrun child support office to take money out of his check. And how much they get - depends on the job the man has, or feels like getting. And yet children's costs don't change. Pampers doesn't care how much a person makes, they have a set price for their diapers. So do formula companies. And Gerber. And retail stores. They don't change their prices for lower income families, or single mothers without help. Their price is their price.

So, it's the women that make do with what they have. It's their first dollar, not their extra - that goes to their children. First. They are the ones who feed them, clothe them, put a roof over their head. They are the ones that kiss them goodnight every night. Women are the ones who take care of the children.

And - most of all, women are the ones who love their children.

Not all "weman" are like that. But I know what you mean. I see them everywhere. Theres one woman and they have all these kids running around them they can't even control. They are screaming different names and can't even remember which kid they are yelling at. It's sad. These are also the same women who are on welfare so they don't have to hold down a job and take advantage of every program the government offers. It truly is sickening. I am 19 and pregnant with my first (and hopefully only) child. When I was 5 months pregnant I lost my job and haven't been able to find another one. Now we are just living on my boyfriends pay which isn't much. As hard up as we are for money right now we are doing everything we can to stay off of welfare food stamps and housing even though we really need it. So my question for these women is "how does it feel to just spend your life popping out kids hoping they just take care of themselves?"

Hi Piggie:
Not sure what 'weman' are, but I'm assuming the piggy comes from MCP, and you're probably talking about women.
It's truly impressive that you have surveyed women all around the world, in order to come up with a finding like that! Wow! What dedication!
Of course, you must have missed a few, because most of the women I know loved looking after their kids, and love looking after their grandkids. Too bad you missed out on all that...

Oh gosh, I just love these generalized questions.
Hmmm, maybe I should ask why all men are idiots. Just because your'e one, I'm going to generalize all men. I happen to take excellent care of all four of my children. My husband does too.

Before you get mad at me, let me just say, you should have worded the question: Why do SOME women have kids but don't want to take care of them?

That, I can't answer. Quite possibly, it is because noone (their parents) took the time to talk to them about sex and the consequences. Then, when it was too late, those same parents didn't take the time to help them become responsible mothers.

And, like some other people pointed out, it's not just the women that make the kids. Where are the men that helped make them?

Not all women do this, but I know where you are coming from. Now a days girls have babies to show them off, like a new fashion trend, Look everybody I had a baby. But then they don't want to be mom, they want to go run in the streets and hang out and expect other people to care for these kids. They still want to be the kids they are and mentally they are not ready to be a parent and the baby will be the one to suffer. Look at all these young moms who only think about getting their freak on with some guy or go out to the clubs. A needy baby is the last thing they are thinking about. Plus they get pregnant by these loser boyfriends thinking these guys are going to step to the plate and help them out, fat chance. The sad part is grandma 9 times out of 10 becomes mom, and then one day the real mom wants to be the mom, it does not work that way. Look at all these foul mouth kids, running around with no morals and values and look at their mothers, sad, sad, sad....Don't tell me this does not happen it's been going on for years in my husband's family....They push these little innocent babies out and show them off and then they can't wait to pawn them off on people and don't care what happens to them as long as they get a check for them that is all they really care about. You wonder what is wrong with these kids now a days, they have immature teenage mothers who don't have a clue what it is to be a real mother. Anybody can have a baby that does not make you a mother...

Those type of people aren't real women. They are just tramps that wanted the sex but not the consequences of sex. They try to use birth control but are lazy and are dependent on welfare, the more unfortunate children they birth the more money, food stamps and free medical insurance they receive without having to work. The poor children are terribly mistreated. The so called parents just holler at the child or children all day because they can't be mature enough to be smart and loving. All they choose to do is whore around and smoke all day and not bathe themselves or their children. They are disgusting wretched low life scum. The poor children are the victims of the parents stupidity.

Well Piggie,

That is exactly what I would call some woman who gave birth but didn't want to take care of them. Children are a special gift and you should cherish them through the good and bad and make good decisions not ones that include drugs and men over the child.

Unfortunately this is a sad reality of this world. Women have kids for several reasons and most of the time, they are not prepared for them. It could be because they are careless and had unprotected sex, wanting to love another living human being, to trap a man, receive welfare and just about any other thing you can think of. Its sad really.

Many parents of both sexes can't live up to the responsibility of having children. We, as the human race, are now fighting a losing battle of supplying kids with fit parents.
