Well, the answer is obvious: besides the fact that any surgery is more easily, and safely, performed on those who are not obese (not that your excess weight is necessarily that great), it will be difficult for the cosmetic surgeon to gauge just how big your breasts are now, and how big they'll be after the reduction, if they're enlarged due to a weight gain. If he performs the surgery now, you might find, after you lose weight, that the breasts are smaller than you'd wanted them to be (or they may still be too big).
That's the whole point: the surgery, which is, after all, COSMETIC (and, therefore, completely SUBJECTIVE as to what you and the surgeon want to achieve) is not an exact science. The surgeon is trying to minimize the variables to produce a result with which you're pleased and comfortable.

The main reason that they want you to lose weight before the surgery is because they think that will reduce the size of your breasts and you won't need surgery at all.
However, they are wrong.
I was the same way. I was 110 pounds with FFs. I was thin, but they were huge, and losing weight didn't make any difference. If you know this to be a fact, tell this to your surgeon. If your insurance still insists on you losing the weight, do it and prove them wrong! The surgery will change your life for the better!

It is more for health reasons. They want you in the best shape possible before doing any kind of surgery. The slimer you are, the better chance for a better outcome. Also, if if you don't realize it, added weight adds to breasts. When they do a reduction and then you lose weight, the result may not be the same.

Get breast reduction surgery in India.Cosmetic Surgery is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges cosmetic surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.
I have also read that they arrange financing for american and canadian patients as cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible.
As a doctor i personally believe that your cosmetic surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.
my cousin got her breast reduction surgery in India through the forerunners healthcare.she is more than very happy with the results.she just paid 30% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise fore this forerunners healthcare company.i personally have seen the wondeful results and am particularly impressed with the kind of quality care she got from this company.hope this helps

Breast reductions are like painting a mustache on the Mona Lisa. You do not mess with a work of art.

maybe because if you lose weight after the reduction, it might create extra skin or something really ugly. the fatter you are, the bigger your boobs are. if you have less fat on your body, your boobs will be smaller. that way, when they do the reduction, they know how much they really should take out.
