What now!?

How will creationists claim that evolution isn't real, when there is observed evidence of it?

Look you guys. MICROEVOLUTION ACCUMULATES INTO MACROEVOLUTION!!!

If there are noticeable differences in FINCHES in just 20 YEARS, why can't you creationists comprehend what can happen in MILLIONS OF YEARS!?

Change in beak size, then maybe a change in body shape, then maybe a change in colour, then maybe a change in leg length etc. etc. You got a whole new species of Finch! Wouldn't take more than 150 years...

This is pathetic. You guys keep insisting that evolution is wrong, when it is blatantly clear that you all have NO understanding of it...

LOL "monkey into man" Monkeys never turned into man, and never has evolution stated that they have.

Adaptation IS Evolution. Also, people need to understnad the differences between micro/macro evolution. Microevolution is changes on a small scale that accumulate into large changes. Macroevolution is the large changes.

they will ignore it or give it another name and say "That's not evolution, that's just _______."
the same thing they do with all the other evidence.

I answered this yesturday, but what the heck. i will answer it again.

This is a marvelous thing, however it does not prove evolution. Let me repeat that; it does not prove evolution.

See nobody can deny animals ability to adapt to certain situations. However adapting and evolving is 2 totally different things. The finches is not the first example of this. It is however the most extreme version of this in recent times.

The truth of the matter is evolving means a change from one species to another generally over a long period of time.

Guess what these finches are still finches. Again not proving evolution.

Now I'm not saying that there is no such thing as evolution (even though I don't believe in it). All I'm saying is this does not prove it.

However this is a huge step to proving it. In other words we now can understand better how we can prove it.

I would suggest to science to put a lot of a certain animal with a single preditor or something like that. In other words make the conditions to a point to force evolution. In other words put a lion with many gazzels in a small area were they could not run well. If they change species it would prove it. However if they did not it still would not disprove it. There actually is no way to disprove it, but this way could finally answer the big question.

I hope this helps.

I am a creationist, and I believe that evolution is real its just not the way life was started on this plantet. My major is Biology and I agree that small adaptations such as diet and beak size can occur and the right circumstances. But to go from saying that to saying that humans can evolve from a speck of bacteria in water is a jump that I cant make. Not to mention the question where did that first life come from? Life cannot be spontaneously formed Louis Pasteur proved this a long time ago. In my opinion it takes faith to believe in a God creating us all and it also takes faith albeit of a different kind to believe in life forming on earth spontaneously on its own. I feel that evolution occurs and was put into place by God just like gravity and all other laws of nature when he created this world.

Micro-evolution, which the article called "character displacement" does exist and is acknowledged by creationists. However, Macro-evolution, which is the changing of one specie to another, is the problem.

The finch... it evolved into a... finch? how about something exciting, like a finch evolving into a lizard or something.

all those fruit flies that scientist test and mutate. they always seem to remain retarded fruit flies. i haven't seen one mutate into an ant or anything.
