The FDA changes it mind on a daily basis what causes cancer and other serious diseases, so I wouldn't listen to them about anything. The only thing that I can think of is that eating spicy foods causes is rotten ***.

No. In fact studies have shown that people who consume a spicy diet suffer from fewer stomach and intestinal problems then those who maintain a blander diet. Besides, spices make the food so much more flavorful. So, go ahead, break out the tabasco and the jalapenos and enjoy!

All-natural foods -- including spicy -- would not cause cancer and other diseases... in my opinion. It's the unnatural-to-the-body chemicals/additives that cause diseases -- again, "in my opinion".
Peace.

There's no reason to believe that eating spice in moderation causes any problems, but excessive spice could probably cause an ulcer.
OH, and some cause diarheah sometimes (that takes a whole chili pepper though)
