Anything verifiable? I think we should be there double-time. What say you?

I think this a VERY bad situation. Hezbollah can't pull this off by themselves; someone must jump in to keep it up. Lebanon is getting pounded which pisses off other Arab states even more. Iran is pulling strings and trash talking.

IDF are the baddest guys on the planet, sure, but they aren't that big. Even if they cease fire now, Lebanon is destablized badly. It could be the first step in a multi-step plan to unite Arabs.

Israel will go nuclear if they are cornered.

The US navy always keeps a ready deployement force in the MED.

It used to be 2 carrier battle groups and a marine expeditionary force. ( the 80's thru the mid 90's )

Also, there are S.E.A.L.'s wherever in the world the trouble lives.

Is this Joe Lieberman? :P

I'm not sure. I think we have enough problems of our own. But then it would be nice to save Israel and flatten Syria and Iran in one swoop.
