I raised bulldogs for show as a teen. They drool, no way around it! However, they are the most docile dog, great with kids and have tons of personality! Don't let a little drool discourage you.

Yes they drool and they also snort. Your main concern should be the health problems that many bulldogs have. Even some of the ones that are bred properly have major health problems linked to their breed, including knee problems, hip displasia, eye problems, and shoulder problems. They also don't tolerate the heat very well at all, so if you live in a warm climate, probably not the best breed for you. Bulldogs usually turn out to be expensive in vet bills in the end. Although they are wonderful, loving dogs and do not all have these problems, consider this information before getting one.

I have a purebred English Bulldog. He doesn't drool a lot, only when he's hot or outside. I will tell you that he farts a lot and it smells pretty bad. He also snorts and snores. On the upside, he is the most loving, smartest, laid back, sweetest dog I've ever had. He hardly ever barks, except when a stranger is on his property. He listens extremely well and was house trained easily. They are great dogs, that explains the expense. Worth every penny. I haven't had a health problem in the two years I've owned him. BUT he stays inside a cool house.

they drool! Mine drools! He's pitbull boxer and bulldog mix and when he shakes his head he drools these shoelaces all over the place. and they get caught on the top of his nose so we have to wipe them off it's so gross, but they're loving dogs. They really are. I wouldn't trade mine for the world!
