God is love.

God could be independent and self-sufficient if He chose. He is the Beginning and The End of everything. However, because He created Mankind in His own Image, (and man has an enormous capacity for love), it shows that God has that much greater ability to love.
Yes, in fact, God IS Love. But what does that mean? If we truly understood God's character, we would find that everything He does and has done is motivated by His Unconditional Love. Some people avoid having to deal with God by saying that they don't understand either:
a) How God can exist with so much evil in the world?
OR
b) How God can be a God of love with so much evil existing in our world?
Man makes his own choices for good or evil. Because of His enormous Love, God also has a tremendous capability for justice. Justice often demands a "balancing of the scales" so to speak. Justice will prevail in the end. There will actually be a "Day of God's Judgement". Many ecological, spiritual, prophetic, historical and technological developments signal that this day is approaching quickly.
The same God/Man who manifested the enormous outpouring of His Love to sacrifice Himself for us, will be returning, this time to "Balance The Scales". So accept His Love now, while there is still time.
In essence, although He does not need our love, He wants our love. It is better to choose to love Him, because once you get to know Him, He is the most Amazingly Wonderful Being in the Universe. But those who don't know Him, and don't love Him, will be horrendously frightened when they see His approach toward Planet Earth from the Sky...On that Day of Judgement, when He when He comes back to Balance the Force, right the wrongs that have been done.
Those who love Him...long for His Return. The prophetic writings equate His Coming Back as returning for an Awaiting Bride. His Radiant love will protect those who love Him, no matter what happens on that remarkable, climactic Day of His Return..Watch for the signs!

God needs recognition and respect and with that comes love....
What he really needs is for you to overstand yourself

God, Himself is Love, and He is the source of love. It is nice to love, even if you aren't loved back. God loves everyone, and does not get much love back.
