Witch Hazel you can buy it at any drug store. Just apply it after you shave and let it dry before you put on your antiperspirant. Also your antiperspirant could be causing the bumps or at least prolonging them ,try a milder one . Good luck hon

Generally speaking, you get rashes from shaving, be it your arm pit or elsewhere when you run the blade over the same location many times. Get a better quality razor or switch to the creamy based hair removel things designed for women. Additionally, after shaving use some moisturerising soap over the place.

Try switching your shaving gel/cream to Aveeno with Colloidal Oatmeal;it sounds like you have an ingrown hair problem, and/or a rash Your skin is sensitive ,so also switch to an unscented antiperspirant like Dove. You can treat the rash and razor bumps with an over-the-counter cortisone cream called Cortaid.

, the arm pit has many glands under the skin so it needs to be clean so old sweat doesnt clog pores!
OK first you need a new clean sharp razor! doest matter what brand or how cheap, its the technique....best results in the shower....get all clean first so the water has time to soften the skin and wash away old skin and deodorant. then apply conditioner or any thick body wash to the armpit and let it work in with finger tips....use clean sharp razor in the direction the hair grows using moderate pressure.rinse well and pat dry don't rub...do not apply deodorant yet!!!! instead apply a tiny blob of moisturizer (non allergenic works best...baby lotion or sensitive skin lotion) and let completely soak in....when armpit is dry apply deodorant....and there you have it smooth silky hair free armpits!

I'm a guy but I did recently shave my armpits to excercize and stuff. And YES I KNOW! i'm never doing it again, what you can do is use Veet or Nair, you know those bladeless shaving systems? Or you can get it waxed, I hear the bumps stop after a long time of shaving, but I don't wanna go thru all them says with itchy bumps do you?

A lot of people have alergies to deodorant. I had the same thing happen and so did a friend. Use a natural deodorant or Dove will work to rid them. If nothing else laser is pretty cool. That for sure works.

Make sure you always use a sharp, clean blade.

Don't do it over and over as this will irritate your skin and give you a rash and it can be painful.

Give your skin time to rest between shaving.

Do not use perfumed de-odourants and if you do use any, apply it around the sore area not directly on the shaved bit.

Have you tried waxing instead?

Hope this helps.

It depends on the type of bumps/rashes. In most cases, the remedies others mentioned will solve it, but there are chronic skin conditions that are exacerbated by shaving, for example, hidradenitis suppurativa, and the best solution in these cases is just to not shave your underarms.

They can disappear with time but if you continue to shave, they will come back. The best way to prevent that would be to wax the hairs off or pluck them with tweezers.
