Yes. They extract part of the amniotic fluid around the baby with a needle and use an Ultrasound machine to make sure that they dont hit the baby. However, due to the risk, these are not performed unless there is due cause for concern or worry. A simple blood test is usually taken first which will indiciate any problems and then they go from there.

YES and you should hurry!!! I would not take any chances on that one- but I would venture to say it's not a human baby living inside your wound - so the DNA test may help science! RUN DON'T WALK!!!

Yes you can but you should wait until the baby is born.The doctor usually do this test if there is some sort of genetic problem in your family or the father's family.It's called don't know if I'm spelling this right amneothesis.
