she has a small bladder right now, do this until she is about full grown, let her out at a set time every night, then she will know you are coming! then as she gets older let her go a little longer each night until she lasts all night!

When I first got my chihuahua I put her in a basket by my bed. She would wake up in the middle of the night and cry and cry and cry....so eventually I just laid her on my chest and she'd fall right asleep. Now the only place she will sleep is close to me. It has never been a problem though, in fact its nice knowing that she is close around. Maybe you should do the same if it doesn't cause any problems. Good Luck (also..in a few months she will probally learn to comfort herself and sleep all throughout the night just like babies do...that's what my other chihuahua did.

Would you lock up your three month old human baby in a cage? do you suppose a locked up three month old human baby in a cage would not cry for some reason in the middle of the night?
Let the dog sleep with you and walk it in the middle of the night when you'd normally change a diaper and feed it a little something just like giving a baby a bottle. that is IF you really want to be HUMANE like you THINK you are.

I believe that you treat puppies like babies. I would say that you put the puppy in the bed with you. When she starts moving around in the middle of the night it is time to take her out. I have a boxer and when I bought him he was 4 pounds. He sleep with me and that's would I did. I would bring him out like 2-3 times during the night. Eventually he grew out of it and would hold it all night long. Now in the morning when he is ready to go out he comes and waked me up. The older they get the longer they can hold it. Puppies can take up lots of your time and you have to be patient. My boxer does stay in a big kennel when I am not home and he knows when I have my purse in my hand that its time to go in.

Let her out if it is because she has to go to the bathroom but then put her right back in and if she is whining and you know for a fact she doesn't have to go just ignore her if you take her out just play or comfort her it will teach her crying is a good way to get attation.

you have to set up a routine she can count on. dogs thrive on a schedule. at the 3am wee wee place her back in the crate and dont talk to her except to say wee wee and BED. turn out the lights and if you do the exact thing 3 nights in a row it will be excepted by the pup. dont change anything no matter what. she cant fuss long. and will be happy to know what to expect.

don't put her in a cage, i suggest you to let her sleep on the bed with you and put a peeing pad or a few layer of newspaper at a spot on the floor and at night it can jump down the bed and do her business and jump back up the bed when she's done, but you have to train her to pee on the pad thingy or newspaper instead of the floor first though. hope ur bed ins't too high for her to jump up and down.
Good Luck!

my puppy had trouble getting used to it so maybe buy puppy pads. just set them in the pen and let her go on those if she whines nicely tell her to go back to sleep she has to get used to it and make sure u take her out potty before you put her in her pen. and also try to potty train her during the day by taking he out because a young puppy does not have a big bladder.

AT 3 MONTHS SHE SHOULD BE ABLE TO HOLD IT ALL NIGHT BUT SHE MIGHT NOT. I WOULD GET A LARGE BOX, PUT A SMALL BOX IN ONE CORNER FOR HER BED AND NEWSPAPERS OVER THE REST OF THE BOX. GIVE HER A STUFFED TOY FOR COMPANY AND A NOISY CLOCK. SHE WON'T FEEL SO LONELY. GOOD LUCK. CHUCHU
