I have read a lot of questions and answer from people that call themselves Christians and a lot of them are insulting, rude and very unchristian.
WHY?
If you truly believe that you are Christian you should treat EVERYONE as Jesus would.
Jesus could have destroyed everything and everyone that had anything to do with His crucifixion but He knew He had to endure it for OUR sake. So don’t slap Him in the face by treating others different then He would.
Remember we are all Brothers and Sisters in Jesus.

All of God’s Blessings to you All

Luke 6:35
But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil.

There are a lot of great responses. I didn’t mean to come off as judging others but I guess I did to some. I was trying to let Christians know that we should treat everyone as Jesus would. We can correct people without being rude or insulting them.

Thank you very much for the responses so far.

You need to fully learn what it means to be a christian!.....Yes, Jesus walked in Love, but at the same time Jesus wasn't a "PUSH OVER" and neither does He want His followers to be Push Overs & Bullyed!..... He Always Stood Up For what's Right!.....You mentioned (Luke 6: 35) concerning loving your enemies!...that's true, but what you did'nt do is study the whole Bible, for if you did you would have found that there is a Time For Everything! (Ecclesiastes 3: 1), (Titus 2: 15) , (Titus 3: 9), (2 John 1: 10), (2 Thess. 3: 6), and last but not least, (Matt. 7: 6).......If you're going to use scriptures to justify yourself & try to bring guilt to believers you had better think twice!..True born again believers are very well prepared for everything based on GOD'S WORD!....that's why GOD'S WORD Instructs The Believers To "STUDY To Show Yourself Approved Unto GOD, A Workman That Needeth Not To Be Ashamed, RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD OF TRUTH"! (2 Tim. 2 15)......I rest my case!....Ps. also,, if you have read questions & answers then you will see that 95% of this religious/spiritual forum is GOD Hating atheists, agnostic, unbelievers who log onto this site Just To Be DISRESPECTFUL, RUDE, & INSULTING TO BELIEVERS!...what do you have to say to them about that!...

I'm not sure exactly what kind of remarks that you have read, and I cannot speak for everyone here. But consider that Jesus rebuked the Pharisees harshly for their self-righteous pride. I'm not trying to justify rudeness, but is being assertive always sinful? I suppose it depends on the context and why & how you are doing it. You do realize that some of these questioners are just being smart-mouthed and mocking. Didn't the prophets and the apostles sometimes rebuke mockers?

I assume that it is best to pray before answering.

Come on now! You've read ALL the comments in this forum, and you complain about the CHRISTIANS????

By preaching the gospel, we do the best thing in the world for them. The gospel is the Good News, but the Good News cannot be understood without a clear exposition of the Bad News. Which is God's wrath for sin, resulting in hell. Jesus told His hearers as much. "Brood of vipers"; "sons of the devil" were some of His lines.

I totally agree with you.

However people might hear this message today and forget it tommarrow. And don't forget that not all the Christians will even hear this great message.

The truth is a lot of us will agree with you today and then offend somebody later.

In my opinion people should not say things like I'll pray for you or anything like that. It's o.k. to pray for others, but remember to some of the people you are just pushing your religion at them by just saying stuff like that. In other words you can pray for Athiests, but don't tell them you are. I mean why do you have to tell them you are praying for them.

The truth is even something as simple as that can offend somebody. Causing them to fight back. Then when they do it makes you have to defend yourself. It's an endless cycle.

When they offend you, just turn the other cheek. In other words don't respond to "questions" that offend you and just ignore "answers" that offend you.

When you see these things say to yourself, "What would Jesus do."

We are born into evils of all kinds and we are here on this earth to learn. When we learn what the Word says about our behavior, temptation ensues because our understanding is better than our emotions.

Only the Lord can give us a heart of flesh. People here are still learning and you have to ignore nasty little comments. The people who are making the nasty comments need to clean up their act though and sincerely try to follow the Lord's ways.

Well, you gotta understand the Biblical view of love. The NT Greek word for "love" was/is "agape", and was generally used to describe what we would call "tough love". It meant doing what is best for others, and included engaging in challenge-riposte, confronting others with their sin, and sometimes words or actions that we Westerners would consider harsh. Jesus repeatedly challenged the Pharisees to challenge-riposte. He asked them, "Haven't you read...?" Of course they had. He knew it, and they knew it. However, Jesus had to undermine their authority in order to prove his point(s). They were experts in the Law, so asking them if they had read it was basically calling them ignorant. However, this was perfectly acceptable and normal for a prophet/teacher to do in the NT times.

yes, exactly. Some Christians claim to be so nice and Jesus-like in the ways they think but they are close-minded and won't respect anyone. although i admit some of my questions were rude and i'm an atheist, i;m really just kidding around.

True you can attract more flies with honey than with water. However, some times you need to rebuke others in order to get their attention. Granted not all of the answers are right by rebuking but other times you need to.

they don't look to be Jews because Jew's do not believe the messiah has come yet. they don't believe Jesus so believing in Jesus and putting forward your Jewish obviously contradicts one yet another.... that's unhappy that there are those Evangelist Christians that call themselves "Jews". stop this custom now, your disgracing both Judaism and Christianity.
