I get my flax seed at a organic food store. Usually used because it is really good for you, like in muffins, etc. but I buy mine by the pound. If you don't eat it all or feed it all, you can plant it and let it grow, very pretty little blue flowers. Our roads department plants it and daisies along side the road after road construction!

Whole Foods (organic market)
Or In the baking aisle of a good grocery store, it should come in a clear bag (they're smaller than sunflower seeds and dark brown) "Bob's Red Mill" sells this (the brand to look for) and they also sell potato flour, almond meal etc.
It depends on what stores are in your area...I have a big bag of flax and flax oil for my own diet..... :)
