First of all, a gal can only get pregnant if she has
(a) unprotected sex with a guy who reaches his climax [a.k.a. he "cums"] while his penis is still inside her vagina, or
(b) artificial insemination, meaning that some guy's semen [a.k.a. sperm] is inserted into her vagina without direct contact of a penis.

Either situation requires the gal to be fertile (meaning that she is old enough to have children or not too old to have children).

Even with sperm getting into the vagina, if it's the wrong time of the month - when the gal is naturally not fertile - the odds are low of getting pregnant.
