LOL are you still worried about those flies! you crack me up! I guess people just yell at them out of frustration. I dont think when people say get away from here fly that they really think that the fly can hear them. The most effective way to get their point across would be to shoo at the them with their hands.

Flies can't hear, but they do feel vibrations in the air and on surfaces.
but i don't know anybody who shouts at them, either.
