No, they did not go to hell. The Bible says the went to Abraham's bosom, which was a place followers of God would go and wait till there was a perfect sacrifice (Jesus).

That is a very good question. They didn't go to hell. During the era of BC, people lived many many years before death. Some lived to be at least 900+. If I recall correctly, GOD watched over everyone Before Christ. He decided to destroy the world when the sinners sinned to much and he chose who was to stay so they went to Heaven. God chose to take their lives so he took them home with him & he finally chose the innocent virgin Mary to be the carrier of his child Jesus. He was born to be a savior and bearer of our sins so all Gods children would be able to go to Heaven to be with the Heavenly Father. Before Jesus' was murdered by the hand of man, he was crucified & tortured. How can you be a believer and worshipper of Jesus and then when the Roman church chose that he was not the messiah turn your back on someone that you knew was the Messiah. Jesus died on the cross for our sins but would God have stepped in to save his son if his ribs were not pierced? Jesus was resurrected 3 days after his death and as Jesus has said, "It is done!" When Jesus died, that one tear drop rocked the earth and destroyed the cathedral and that is when the catholics knew he was the true Messiah. It is wonderful to be a child of God.

No, Jesus' blood covers the sins for all who live or have lived faithfully. His blood goes both ways, both before and after the cross.
During the law of Moses, there was nothing to permanently wash away sins. The blood of bulls and goats could not do this. The blood of Jesus did this once for all (instead of yearly sacrifices required in the Old Testament). (See Hebrews 9)
Those who were faithful, according to the dispensation (era) in which they lived, had their sins covered by the blood of Christ, the ultimate sacrifice.
If someone lived in the time of the Law of Moses, they had to be faithful to that Law. We now live under the authority of the New Testament, the law of Christ, therefore, to be saved, we should follow the things taught there.

First, check Hebrews 11.
Second, no one sees hell until after the 1000 year period. Read Revelation 20.
If there was a hell burning now, where does it say in the Bible that people have received their judgment at the time of death?
Something to think about.

Boy, these kooks have a response for everything huh? See, theyve had 2000 years to cover every single question you can come up wiith, and they thought up a well versed (albeit LAME) response to each and every one of them...
Abraham's bosom....what kinda crap is that??
Let me ask this then - what about modern humans that are brought up under a regime that does not tolerate freedome of choice? youre a baby, born in Afganistan in some remote village. You never hear about the Christian god. Do you rot in hell for this? What about stone age natives of Papua New Guinea, who have never come in contact with white men? Do they rot in hell too? Or are they hanging out suckin Abraham's teat too??
What crap. Sheolm?? WHat, now there is Heaven, Hell, and another underworld too? Kinda a storing house for lost souls? A place where everyone who never heard the word of God while alive has to hang out in for eternity until Jesus comes and gives a speech and then takes a poll? BULLSH*T!!!!!!!! But it "seems logical..." LOL!

He talks about a Pre-tribulation Rapture and the Tribulation is that seven-year period of judgment on earth – Revelation chapters 6 to 18 – because we go up in chapter 4 and it only begins in chapter 6. We call it a pre-tribulation Rapture and the Rapture is I Thessalonians 4 verses 16 to 18, when the dead in Christ rise and the living go up with them to meet the Lord in the air and all in the twinkling of an eye, I Corinthians 15:52.
However, during the seven-year period of Tribulation, the greatest revival in history occurs as 144,000 evangelists swarm the world in Revelation 7 verses 4 to 8, and they are preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom – Matthew 24:14. The King is coming and a multitude like the sands of the sea, Revelation 7:9, is converted and verse 14 says, “They came out of the Great Tribulation and washed their robes, made them white in the blood of the Lamb." Because of it, death comes to those new converts during that seven-year period in Revelation 6:9, 13:50 and Revelation 20 verse 4. Now Christ comes back with His saints, Jude 14, and Daniel 12:2 - the Old Testament Jews are raised and at that point, all those who died during the Tribulation are also raised. I hope that answers your question.
Did you see it? The Old Testament Jews are raised at that point. Read the last paragraph again.
Hope this helps.
Don't confuse this with the 24 saints raptured.

i'm certainly very shocked that no Muslim or Christian might answer right here with the biblical (and likewise Muslim) perception that as quickly as we die, we are to wait for the 2d comming and then all would be resurrected, from the begining of time. The Bible for sure says that the ineffective are wakeful of no longer something. So no person is going to heaven or hell untill Jesus comes back. i think of those that lived in the previous Christs time, will the two settle for a 2d to examine and settle for it, or they're going to easily be grafted in.heavily, how can God deliver harmless souls to hell? impossible.

This is a bit more complicated than most of the questions on here.
I will try in a short amount of space.
Prior to Kings, the people who trusted in and followed GOD, had personal "visits" from him in one form or another, athough they were still separated from complete harmony with him because of original sin.
Faith and obedience for his commands and his promises of future events warrented heaven, or elijah would not have been taken up to heaven body and soal. God counted certain people as rightous, although not sinless, as we can read of their downfalls and weaknesses right in the bible itself.
Prior to Jesus death on the cross, there was no salvation by Grace, the law had to be kept and when not kept, a sacrifice was to be made once a year in most cases to atone for the sins that they had committed.
After Jesus death on the cross, there was atonement for sin, no greater sacrifice could be offered. This ushered in the age that we now live in. The age of Grace. We no longer have to offer up sacrifices for our sins, we are saved by grace. The law still applies, we have just had the debt prepayed for us, so to speak.
So, yes, Gods people are in heaven from before the Death of Jesus on the cross, it was just much more difficult and involved more steps than we need to do today.
I for one am very grateful I live in this age of Grace.

The OT people look forward to the Cross believing in faith that Jesus was coming. We look back at the Cross believing in faith that Jesus did come. We are all saved the same way. Through the Blood of Jesus. Read the Book it's in there

Jesus is the only way - and so is Buddha and anyone else who experiences God because they transcend their invididual personhood and realize themselves as the One. And they become examples for the rest of us to follow. Note: the Jesus portrayed in the bible is very different from the real Jesus.
