Besides the space advatage, I can only think of a few things. It starts up faster than CRTs and on average lasts longer.
My advice is that if you have the money to spend on a LCD then do it. It will be more visually pleasing and save space.

less bulk means more space. Other than that not much other than the increased expenses for a flat panel.

After years of creating use of the tremendous video show contraptions, we are now a flat panel video show relatives and we like 'em. they merely do not look as cumbersome and the photo is sooooo a lot more desirable. no longer as a lot glare both.

ALOT less space. I have like a new desk now ever since I got my flat screen. Highly recommend it!
