Basically, this guy is 40 and married with kids (lecturer in a university I work at). About 6 months ago he used to ALWAYS stare at me - Ive caught him MANy times just staring at me. He even carried on staring at me when I looked up at him.

This gradually subsided, even though I caught him staring at me still while I wasnt looking then he turned away when I looked up.

Now..he just completely blanks me...and I have given him no indication that I like him. When I walk past him..its like im invisible to him and he doesnt even say 'hi' anymore.

Why does he do that. From what I know of him - he is shy and sensitive natured but confident in speech (as hes a lecturer).

Should I show him that I am interested in him? Or is it too late?

I am 24 and have a Degree. I work at the University at the Same Department as him and I will also be studying for an MBA part-time while Im working and he is NOT my teacher/lecturer.

Ok, the only answer is no you should not show him you are interested in him. He is married with children. Aside from that he is older...and in a different place than you are in life...even if he were single. He is probably trying to get you out of his head so he can be faithful to his wife and family. He is trying his best not to screw up his life, and many men do that by avoiding the thing/person that they are attracted to that could tear their life apart- HE IS SMART. Now, you can help him by leaving him alone. Period. Later you can be friends, but if you find him staring again you need to let him be. If his marriage ends it should not be because you helped him do it. Find someone your own age who is single. Take care.

The man is married with kids...so he's cautious, but why do you want a man who is likely unavailable or do you want to have an affair with this old man...move on to some young educated hot SINGLE guy.

Firstly I must ask you whether you are so desperate that you have to go after someone else's husband and father ?
Secondly all men are strange at some point but to me you sound more strange.
Leave him alone at all costs.

Maybe he got embarassed as to being caught checking you out.

I would ask him for coffee and pick his brain. See what make him tick...
