"gicky" We lived next door to another couple who had a little boy a few months older than me and him and I use to play together as babies. His name was Ricky but much to my parents chagrin it wasn't Mama or Dada it was Gicky.

Usually it is dada. That is one of the easiest sounds for a baby's mouth to form. Most would like it to be ma ma...but da da wins mosts the time.

Mine was Max, which was the name of my cat. My mom got so excited at first because she thought I was saying "ma," but then she saw me point to the cat!

My mom had a picture of Jesus in her bedroom and I pointed to it and said "God". That was my first word. My sister's was "button". My son's was "Moon" (but he pronounced it "Moom"). Ah well, so much for Mama and Dada... LOL
