Our collasped during rain as well as some other people we know. Should we leave it off when expecting storms?

This is a 13' across pool with the inflatable ring at top. When that ring got too weighed down during rain, it collaped the pool on us.

we leave our covers off and just use the skimmer net or the vaccuum if it gets bad. We don't cover it until the winter. We have an above ground Intex pool (18 foot).

hope this helps! :)

It would be easier to clean the pool if the cover is on after a storm. If it is just rain it is ok to keep it off. If you make the cover very tight across the top so that it isn't touching the water in the pool then it might be ok to keep the cover on.

I would speak to your pool guy. However, keeping the cover on does keep your pool from overflowing onto the deck and also keeps leaves and other gunk out of the pool. You need to weigh that up with how likely it is that your pool will collapse.

keep the cover on the pool during rain or storms . it doesn`t matter if the cover is ruin . all u need to worry about is the pool . you can always buy a new cover ;]
