I'm 23 years old and my GF found 20some white hairs on my head just now.

I know it's not genetic. All four of my grandparents had salt and pepper into their 80s.

It can be genetic, stress, old age, etc.

Normal aging process is in your DNA. Loss of pigment in the hair pollicle will cause the hair to turn white.

melanin determines the color of our hair, once the melanin isn't being produced anymore, the color changes to white (or grey).
