to lucky- I like Dogs but if cats would be my second choice. But you got to admit that dogs are a lot of work and attention. It'd be mean if you had a dog in the house while you were gone all the time. Depends if you have time for dogs. Cats are different. They don't like to bothered to much and there not so excpencive. I only have a cat, for about 4 years, and he always comes first! I conclusion, there both hard work but it will pay off. Do you agree?

I prefer cats- they're quieter, cleaner, and calmer. I also like how you have to work for their affection. A dog will love even people who abuse it, but you have to earn a cat's trust.

I don't dislike dogs, but I don't think I'd want to own one.

Depends on what you want the pet for. Cats are terrible to take on walks or go swimming with. Dogs are a pain with barking and cleaning up after if your city requires you to. But both make great pets and give love back. Your choice, but make sure which ever one you pick you pick the type you want also. Such as long hair or short hair, large, medium and small, breed, etc.
Good luck. By the way, I have both. 2 dogs and 3 cats

I take it you are undecided on which you want?

Do you have the time for a dog? To play with the animal, take it for walks? Fresh water and food, in addition to treats periodically.

Cats. I have one of each, actually and they both are joys. A cat is known to be "independent" but once they are familiar with you, can be quite loving. Cats don't need to be let out like dogs do. A clean litter box, fresh water and food and they are happy.

My husband and I have one of both. The cat is mine and the dog is his..lol. The cat is so easy to take care of, just feed her and give her water and clean out her litter box and she is good to go. Then just let her come to you when she wants attention, and then when she had had enough she gets up..lol. A dog is a lot of work put it is totally worth it, like kids..lol.

Cats are lazier if you watch tv, play computer, or just sit around doing nothing then a cat would be good. Dogs love to play and please their masters, so if you are the type that love to go outdoors and just have fun then a dog would be the best.

Dog, definitely!! Dogs are people oriented and I want a pet that lights up when I am around. Cats are nice but too independent for me.

Think About It..... Dogs are fun and entergetic and cats are lazy and a great companion. Which do you want? Something that will keep you entertained? Then pick a dog. Something that will sit with you and watch tv? Then pick a cat.
