if its the first date "he's not into you" on the other hand if it is the 3rd or 4th date then something has just happened, and if it is dates 5th and above he is simply reverting to male-pattern-rudeness from which all men suffer...

I think it depends on how late they are.If they are five to ten minutes late, not such a big deal.Ten to Twenty minutes, pretty inconsiderate.Twenty to Thirty minutes, Has had second thoughts about you, but still showed up.Thirty to forty minutes, probably had something better to do.If by this point you are patient enough to be waiting still, you will probably get stood up, and if this person DOES show up, he or she probably isn't good enough for you anyway.Of course there could be an emergency or something, but if that is the case, look in to it before you completely forgive your date, and if he lies, something must have been up.

if there is a good reason. it is ok. But if it's lame reason then it's not ok. if you date the same person a lot and your date is always late then your date has no respect for you and doesn't really care if you are waiting all the time.. time for a different date.

How late? A few minutes? It means there was unexpected traffic. A lot late?Date has no respect for you and doesn't mind keeping you waiting.

1. If its a one time occurrence with a good excuse, then I'd let it go. If it happens again, the guy is possibly a jerk.

2. "what does it say to you" Good choice of words! If it is an 'it' and the 'it' is a date - turn it into a fig newton.

It says to me that I'm not important enough to be on time for? Or maybe that their time is more valuable than my own? Either way it's disrepectful.

Then again - if we're talking about her period, and she's my date and not my wife, I'd say better late than never?

Well, first impressions are a big thing...so a first date, unless there's a reasonable excuse, means he's inconsiderate...and he usually won't get a second date. Why sit around waiting for your date? I mean, aren't the guys supposed to wait on the girls? lol.

Depends on why? And what date it is? Stuff happens sometimes you have to find out why and if you accept that reason then move on. If you cannot accept it then stop the relationship from going any further.

If he has a cell phone, he could call you and tell you why he's running late.

Like Rodney Daingerfield "No Respect".

But wait and see what the explanation is.

he may have tried way to hard to look good for you and he ran behind in time...
he may have run into a lot more red lights and this made him late.
he may have got home late and had to leave his house late..
he may have got home on time and watched TV for to long of a time...
he may have said.. I am hot..I am cool,...I am going to show up fashionably late....
he may have said..he guys I guess I have to get going now...
he may have said OH well I guess its time to leave, I might as well go..
he may have said it I do not show up, she just may come and get me...

I don't know why didn't you ask him??

smile
good luck
