I was in a moment of free time and i went off by myself and put my hands over my mouth and prayed as intensely as I could in a quiet way and told God that I loved Him and adored Him and His Son Jesus with all my inner being. I quietly said that over and over again and I felt something spiritual kind of get on me for a few minutes. I went back to class and it lingered. I wonder if that was God and Jesus letting me know I was on the right track ?

The Bible says that God inhabits the praise of his people.

So, yes, you were probably encountering God the Holy Spirit.

Psalm 22:3-5
But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.
Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them.
They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.

"Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God" (Romans 10:17)

There is nothing wrong with feelings, but they can be influenced by many different things both inside and outside of us. Our feelings can be influenced by the food we eat, or what we see on TV. I can tell you that eating too many donuts definitely influences how I feel!

The Bible is the Word of God. It is more reliable than feelings. To reliably learn if you are on the right track, I suggest reading the Bible. May I suggest the Gospel of John? That's a great introduction to Jesus. Read a chapter a day, and before doing so pray that God will reveal Himself to you.

Be very, very careful with physical manifestations. The devil loves to "masquerade".

I have experienced what I believe was a "touch" from God and I have experienced what I know was a touch from the devil masquerading as God.

There is a great deal of confusion in today's evangelical Christianity and there is a great deal of false "miracles" and "manifestations".

It sounds as if God is calling out to you but you MUST rid yourself of all the withcraft and new age trappings you are hanging on to.

Jesus WILL set you free but you have to move towards Him with sincereity.

Pray hard and do not seek physical manifestations. That is where Satan will trap you and deceive you.

Nope. It was brain chemistry. Buddhist monks do the same thing with meditation, and shamans have a variety of naturally occuring substances that can let you talk to God. Hell, there's even a helmet rigged up with electro-magnets that can provide that same spiritual experience. A little advice, trust yourself to follow the right track.

I think repeating things over and over again for the sake of conjuring something up is emotional, at best. Jesus said do not look for a sign, and the Bible says vain repititions are to be avoided.

It´s called "mantra"...
When you repeat positive words, like a prayer, or just talking to God! You repeat it over and over again... And the more you repeat it the better. And what you are doing is creating positive energy, which in turn cleans your soul of negativity and therefore makes you feel great! Now, your faith tells you God and Jesus are talking back to you, which in turn is true in your belief. So yes! You were in fact talking to God and he was talking back to you... It´s all about energy!

I doubt it, I think you're making yourself think it. You know the human mind is powerful like that, it can make the body look pregnant if you want it so badly that you're legally insane. But you want to feel something so you "do." Its not unheard of. Whatever you wanna believe though, if it keeps you from feeling alone in this empty universe, then go ahead.

It is possible that it was God and Jesus.

It is also possible it was some sort of psychological projection.
