How many gods are there anyway??? I mean between all the different faiths that there is available?

Do all the gods hang out like on Mt. Olympus???

Minus the sarcasm...I am being serious.

What god is right??? and Why??? Who are you or anyone to say that someone else's god isn't true or real???

First off, there is a "God" i.e. Superior Being because of Intelligent Design...now who that "God" is, that isn't proven.
But there are millions of gods, all based on one Superior Being i.e. Order vs. Chaos. All gods are based on one principle idea...there is something out there and that something is everything. But then you get specifics...like Baccus, the god of wine and merry-making, Narrssicus, the god of "self-love/desire", and you can go on and on.
The Jewish, Christian, and Islamic God is a God of EVERYTHING, as in Creator, all human emotions, Order, and perfection. "Pagan" gods are gods/goddesses that are based on a one god ideology but broken down into many parts and they are also humanized, e.g. feel, going through, and dealing with human(s).
To answer your last pontification, which god is right and which one is wrong...frankly there is no such thing. All "gods" are right because of the fact that all "gods" become truth to the person through faith and belief. You're going to get alot of the Christian God is right...maybe a few Allah is right...but the truth of the matter is this...no one is "right" and no one is "wrong". Now you can get into dogmas and ideology, but as far as the "god" issue goes...no one knows. I personally believe in Christ, but I believe that God is the God/Goddess. People, of course, say I'm wrong...but am I?
People say many things as "fact" when they're neither fact nor fiction...neither are they truisms or falsehoods, they are beliefs and personal opinions; which make them neither right nor wrong...just faith and personal belief.
It's all about terminology...someones religion can not be "wrong" because faith and dogma are not based on fact, they are based on the belief system which is within all of us. Now there are religions and dogmas that are "wrong" because they do not follow the laws of man and the universal conciousness...but they are not "wrong" as some people use the term. They are wrong because they are unlawful and harmful to others.
So all "gods" are true and real because of the individuals faith...frankly people (i.e. those that are of a particular religious mind-set) need to stop using the wrong terminology and irrational thinking. Before Christianity, there was Judism and paganism...and now, even within Christianity there are over 30,000 different denominations, which one of those are right and which ones are wrong?
As I said though, I believe that Jesus was and is the Christ i.e. the Messiah. That is truth to ME...but that does not make it a truism nor a fact. I also believe that the Judeo/Christian God is not only masculine but also feminine...but that does not make it "true"; it is only true to me.
Faith and beliefs are hard and complicated to understand, which is why people need to use the right terms and words to describe and "convince" people otherwise.
I hope this helps...and happy hunting for your own "truth".

There is no one " God " that is right and no one " Religion " that is right either!! No one should put down or fail to respect or even tolerate that there will simply be others in this world who will always not believe in the same things such as " Religion " or who " God " is to you....those very same things could mean something very different to someone else...and you know what....that's ok!! People should be more tolerant of others...this world is a big place, with a lot of people who share different views and beliefs of all kinds, the most important thing is that we learn to accept it....( as long as it does not involve hurting yourself or someone else ) then I don't have a problem with anyone believing whatever they want. More power to you!!!

There is one God. Due the divergences of humanity and the way people think many have come to believe that there is and are more gods than the One. Muslims believe in Allah. Allah is just the Arabic word for God. In Spanish the word for God is Dios. You don't see anyone jumping down their throat accusing them of believing in another god. People are going to believe what they want to believe.

The fact that there is creation is proof that there is a Creator. Creation could not create itself. Nothingness can't come from nothingness.
The Universe has one creator and all creation is subject to one plan. All religion comes from God,however many religious leaders have misled their people because of greed and the desire for power and leadership.
The purpose of religion is to bring people together.
I'm glad you have a open mind. Good question.

"When two people argue over religion they both are wrong"

Arthur,
There Is but one god. However It Is called by many names.I feel that god Is a compassionate being and that If you are a good person It does not matter what you call god, Jesus, budda etc.I feel that you have to make a personal choice as far as a higher power Is concerned.Everyone has a conscience and you should follow yours.

Holy moley! princeoffingland's post reminds me why I don't believe in God:

it seems to make you quite strange.

But there is a part of me that, while it doesn't believe in God, per se, believes there may well be a higher mind... that the Universe may be that mind, and we, little us'ns, may be something like its senses, the way it sees all the things within it.

Why do I think this? Ever catch yourself doing something you knew wasn't so good? Well think about who caught you...

Why isn't that God? Because that overmind doesn't damn, and judge, and do silly things like making people out of ribs, and dividing men against other men according to their acceptance of it. That overmind, if it exists, is truly pure and without judgement and bias.

There is only one God. I'm a Protestant Christian.
You have to have faith to believe in God.

The trinity is Jesus Christ, God, and the Holy Spirit.
