This term is used by manufactures to sell products that have been returned to them for various reasons such as: defects, blemished, wrong specifications, or the customer simply changed their mind. In just about all cases the products have been thoroughly tested and carry the full manufacturers warranty, plus you can get some really great discounts. So for all intents and purposes they are no t used and I'd consider them new.

It is used and has been serviced by the manufacturer and usually carries the same warranty as a new camera at a lower price.

it can be used ---or it was the display modeled that never left the store but people touched and so forth while they were browsing.
Either way the item has been sent back to the factory - serviced, passed inspection and comes with a warranty

Basically, used and returned due to a error.
This has been sent to the manufacturer, who fixes the fault and resells the product.
Usually carries the same warranty.
Purchase only after physically seeing the product.

It is used and has been gone through by the factory to condition to a like-new status.
Double check the warranty; the original one is most likely expired & the new one will be limited.

It means that the original purchaser returned the camera for whatever reason, and the manufacturer disassembled and reassembled the camera, tested it, and put it up for sale.

It could be either. If it failed QC at the factory then fixed then it can be considered new. If it was sold then brought back and switched out before being re manufactured then you could consider it used.

Used. It was formerly broken, but sent to the manufacturer and fixed. So it's as good as new. But they have a tendency to wear out faster.
