WHY, when sunbathing are legs ALWAYS the last place to go brown?

It depends on whether you are a man or a woman. Women who wear skirts or dresses will brown up faster because their legs are already receiving the rays that turn skin brown. Men on the other hand take to wearing shorts but because they do not wear skirts or dresses unless they wear Kilts, tend to brown up later. If your legs have been to Florida or one of the Caribbean Islands then of course your legs will have a head start and should brown up in a day or two.

Lols good question ;). Its because the legs muscles and skin is very strong. While that of other body parts is comparitively sensitive. So, the Sun's rays also have a differentiating affect. The tanning is due to the secreation of a particulat astrojen and the leg muscules are thich and so produce it in very lil quantities. :)

Umm.. My legs are usually the first to get tan along with my forearms. I spend a lot of time at the lake though, I dont sit out just to get tan.

most other places have at least a bit of a base of brown
legs generally don't see any sun at all during the winter
